Lemming Lacquer Villains Don't Get Happy Endings Collection plus Copious Cornucopia: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! Lemming Lacquer is a new-to-me brand, one I have been wanting to try for a while, so I was excited when maker Cassie approached me about reviewing a few of her polishes. The first polish is a limited edition Black Friday release and then the following nine polishes are a part of her Villians Don't Get Happy Endings Collection, inspired by the villains from the TV show Once Upon a Time. Here is a little info from Cassie about the collection inspiration:

"I have always thought villains were more interesting than heroes especially when determined to redeem themselves. That kind of story is one we can all relate to and may be even more important than the standard fairy tales that say good triumphs because good triumphs. It teaches us to fight for our happy endings even if we are afraid they are undeserved."

The Villians Don't Get Happy Endings Collection will be released Black Friday November 27th at 12:01 am CST in Lemming Lacquer's shop.

Discount code! Orders that are $15 or more can use the code BLACKFRIDAY for 25% off their order from Friday 11/27 - Monday 11/30.
The Black Friday exclusive polish Copious Cornucopia is included with any orders $45+ after discounts and before shipping, no code necessary.

Lemming Lacquer Copious Cornucopia
Black Friday Limited Edition
Three coats
Holographic gold, orange, copper and bronze metallic micro-glitter in a clear base
Isn't this perfect for Thanksgiving? I especially like the dark bits of bronze against the plethora of gold/orange/copper. You can layer it (I bet it would look great over a rich brown creme) but I like to build to opacity when possible, so I applied three coats for coverage. I still had a teeny bit of visible nail at my tips but it wasn't super obvious.

Lemming Lacquer Gin & Poor Judgement
Two coats
Red to black thermal jelly with various sized red hex and black circle glitter
So squishy and shiny. And opaque enough of a jelly that I needed only two coats. The thermal red to black change transitions easily, so easily in fact that on the chilly morning when I was swatching, the polish immediately started to darken with the colder temperature.

Lemming Lacquer Different. Misunderstood. Alone.
Three coats
Silver holographic micro-glitter, blue shimmer, white flakes and white shimmer in a clear holographic base
Light and delicate and very pretty. This is another that is one you can build to opacity or wear layered over another color. I have it shown both ways below. I didn't think of this at the time but I will need to wear this again, this time layered over a white base.

Lemming Lacquer I'll Give You Darkness

Lemming Lacquer Evil Isn't Born
Two coats
Deep cranberry linear holographic
I like that this has just a bit of brown in the coloring so it has a rusty blood red look to it. Really nice formula and application .

Lemming Lacquer I Prefer "Dashing Rapscallion"
Two coats
Metallic silver linear holographic with a dash of silver holographic micro-glitter
Metallic silver holos are amazing in the sun. They can fall a bit flat in regular lighting but the added sparks for holo micro-glitter in this particular polish prevent that. And this is thick enough that I think it would stamp well too.

Lemming Lacquer I'll Give You Darkness
Two coats
Dark violet eggplant linear holographic
Damn, this is one fine looking purple. So dark and so very purple. And in the sun it has a blue holo flame. You barely need a second coat for coverage.

Lemming Lacquer I'm a Difficult Man to Love
Two coats
Antique gold linear holographic with metallic gold flash
This has a bit of olive green in the coloring and I like that flash of gold in the sun. Very opaque, again I barely needed to apply my second coat. And this would be perfect to use for stamping.

Lemming Lacquer Never Go Up Against a Woman With Eight Hands
Two coats
Dark ocean green jelly base with small holographic lemon, lime and iridescent glitter and holographic pigment
What a lovely shade of blue/green! The bits of sparkle from the glitter add some complexity. Easy application in two coats and a medium holo flame in the sun.

Lemming Lacquer Pan Never Fails
Two coats
Dark olive green linear holographic with subtle golden shimmer
A lush woody green with brown overtones. Wonderful formula and application and a medium holo flame.

 Lemming Lacquer Wicked Always Wins
Two coats
Emerald green linear holographic with subtle green shimmer
Another great green holo but a completely different shade of green. And as with all the other holos in this collection, I needed just two coats for opaque coverage.
