Paint All the Nails Presents: Marble

Provided for Review
Purchased by Me

Hi everyone! For today I am joining my fellow Paint All the Nails group to participate in our monthly nail art series. Previous posts can be found under this tag. This month the theme was Marble, with an open interpretation of this prompt.

I decided to go with a stone marble look, using a water marble method. I must admit that this was not my first attempt, I had an entirely other look I planned and executed but it did not quite hit the mark for me. In the end this one turned out much better.

To start out, I applied a blank white base using Cirque Colors Carpe Diem. The I used Cirque Memento Mori and Cirque Mermaid Parade (which is an upcoming release, review next week of that!) in the water marble design. I also used Pipe Dream Polish Clearwater, just one drop between the black and teal. I wanted a very organic looking stone marble design and turned out much better than I anticipated! I love how crisp the white is and the contrast with the black and teal blue is soooo nice.

This definitely got me excited to do more nail art again, which I hope to share more here. Please click on the links below to see what the other lovely ladies in this link up have created!

Londontown Lakur Enchanced Colour Line: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! Sorry for the week long absence. I didn't have anything pressing to post last week and the break was needed. I have a new to me brand for you today, these five polishes come from Londontown and their Lakur Enchanced Colour Line. I had the chance to see this brand on display when I was at Cosmoprof Las Vegas last July and was quite intrigued by them. I love creme finishes so I was happy to be contacted to do a review.

Let's talk formula. These are really very nice cremes. They self level well and have good color saturation, I needed just two coats for coverage for each one, including the off white and lighter lilac. I didn't apply topcoat for my photos below (though I usually do) because I wanted to share their awesome shiny finishes.

Londontown states that their Lakur line is "9 Free" and vegan and they originated in Britain, hence the brand and polish names. The polishes are on the higher price polish level, they retail for $16, which is likely why I haven't made a purchase before now but after experiencing the quality, I can see myself buying more down the line. As for where you can buy your own  Londontown Lakur, they are a boutique brand, so you will want to find the nearest store to you by using the store locator on their website and you can purchase directly from their online shop

Wow, right from the start we get this vividly bright golden yellow holo. It's very metallic looking and has a very bold linear holo flame. Formula wise, easy application with two coats.

Different Dimension Blue Raspberry Airheads
Three coats
Blue leaning teal linear holographic with silver shimmer
A very interesting and unusual blue holo, with the flakes and metallic tone of it. Easy application with two coats. And I don't know about you guys but I lived for the mystery Airheads flavor, the one in the white packaging.

Glisten & Glow Pink Rock Candy
Two coats
Pink linear holographic with cherry and silver holo micro-glitter and pink shimmer
Such a bold pink, and it has that awesome blue holo flame which I love. So so easy to apply with two coats.

Fair Maiden Polish Now & Later
Two coats
Grape purple linear holographic with pink/gold flakes
If you need more purple in your life, then you will definitley want this one. It's very much a grape purple and has a easy formula (which yes, I know I sound like a broken record in this post about that).

Color4Nails Presents A England Heavenly Quotes Sparks Divine and Whispering Waves: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! Another post for you all today courtesy of Color4Nails with these two from A England's Heavenly Quotes line. You can purchase these right now in Color4Nails' shop along with a large selection of other A England polishes as well as other indie polish brands. Color4Nails also ships worldwide and as I mentioned yesterday, I have found that they have a quick shipping turn-around time for orders.

A England Sparks Divine
Two coats
Golden sandy nude scattered holographic
A warm sand neutral with a gold tone, this looks very much like a nude on me. Applies really well, with two fluid coats. I love how it sparkles in the sun with it's scattered holo effect.

A England Whispering Waves
Two coats
Turquoise blue with flashes of pink and green and scattered holo pigment
Instant love. I am a little obsessed with it's gorgeous jewel coloring and the pink flash. This was thicker in formula compared to Sparks Divine but not issue with application. This is quite color opaque, you can also use it to stamp (which I have done and it works great).

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! I have a new brand on the blog today. Included in the box will be wax melts from Vinyl It Up/Midwest Lacquer (one scented like cake and one like fruity pebbles) plus cupcake nail decals from Green Goddess Creations.

Frenzy Polish's One Year Anniversary Collaboration Box will be released as a pre-order in Frenzy Polish's shop. The pre-order window will begin Friday, February 12th at 8 AM EST and end Sunday, February 14th at 11 PM EST.

The price of the box is $32 plus shipping. It is open to international orders, though if you live outside the US, you will need to email Frenzy Polish directly with your order and she will be invoicing your order with specific shipping charges.

Frenzy Polish Glitter in My Cupcake
Two coats
Dusky rose pink with ultra-chrome flakes and gold shimmer
Pretty in pink with this sweet number. The shimmer pops in the base color and it applied well, two coats was all I needed for coverage.

(Direct Sunlight)

Lollipop Posse Lacquer A Frenzied After-Party
Two coats
Black jelly with green and pink micro-glitter
Lots of color contrast with the bright pink and lime green glitter against the dark black base. This was two coats which is pretty nice considering it was a jelly polish. Heavy layer of topcoat for a smooth finish.

(Direct Sunlight)

Turtle Tootsie Polish Frosting Frenzy
Three coats
Soft dove grey with holographic micro-glitter
Light and lovely with some added sparkle. Formula wise it was on the thin side so you will likely need three coats for coverage which is how I have it shown as.

(Direct Sunlight)

Virago Varnish Vixon
Two coats
Emerald green and pale pink micro-glitter
Very unique and striking with it's unusual color pairing. Formula wise it was great, I love a good full coverage micro-glitter, especially one that I need only two coats for coverage.
