Chaos & Crocodiles Captain of Tonight's Sky and Cupcake Ninja

Hey guys! I have a couple of Chaos & Crocodiles polishes from her last pre-order this afternoon. It looks like there will be another restock soon, so make sure to followe Chaos & Crocs on her Facebook page for updates and sneak peaks.

Chaos & Crocodiles Captain of Tonight's Sky
Layered over Dior Porcelaine
Clear based topper with a varity of purple, blue and silver glitter including little silver stars and iridescent shimmer
Pretty in blue and purple! And for some reason the name brings to mind the movie The Rocketeer.

Chaos & Crocodiles Cupcake Ninja
Two coats
Hot pink creme with silver and slight pink shimmer
Such an intense color! Though I don't like pink polish all that much, a color like this will change my mind. It's bright but just shy of being a neon, so it's more wearable. I absolutely love Cupcake Ninja!

Chaos & Crocodiles can be purchased in her Big Cartel shop, as well as through Mei Mei's Signatures and Norway Nails. Updates can be found on her Facebook page, Blog, Instagram, and Twitter.

Tom Ford Bitter Bitch and Ginger Fire

Good morning! I have a couple of Tom Ford polishes on the blog today. I have been wanting to try Tom Ford nail polish for a while but the price tag has made me hesitate in purchasing. I was lucky enough to be gifted the two I have and am very impressed by the brand. The bottle packaging is luxurious, exactly what I would expect from a high end brand. And the formula is so so good. They aren't really adventurous in color selection, a lot of red, pinks, neutrals, but I liked the application. I would recommend Tom Ford polish to anyone who wanted a high end alternative to Chanel, Dior, or YSL. As for myself, I will definitely keep the brand on my radar but just be selective on the color choice.

Tom Ford Bitter Bitch
Two coats
This is a hard color to pin down, I would maybe call it prune colored. It's a very red toned brown creme.
A little streaky on the first coat but the second coat fixes that. I may have needed to do a third coat for the photo but two will get you full coverage.

Tom Ford Ginger Fire
Two coats
Tangerine orange with gold shimmer.
Absolutely stunning color. It's very vibrant and exactly the type of polish I am drawn toward.

Tom Ford nail polish (along with other Tom Ford cosmetics) can be purchased through Nordstrom, Saks, and Neiman Marcus

Pahlish EXTERMINAAAATE! Febuary Duo

Hey everyone! Continuing on the Doctor Who theme, today I have Pahlish's newest monthly duo, the EXTERMINAAAATE! Febuary Duo, available only for this month. First let's get into the Dalek mode....

Pahlish The Primary Order
Two coats
Pale gray with charcoal and bronze flakes
Lovely and easy to apply creme. And them flakes, they be sooooo nice against that creamy base.

Pahlish The Crucible
Layered over The Primary Order
Clear based topper with gunmetal, gold, and copper glitter, and bronze shimmer.

Dalek inspired but the Daleks wished they could look this good. I love the duos that Pahlish puts out each month, and each month I say that the duo is not to be missed. This time, it's major truth. Do not miss this duo! Or a Dalek will EXTERMINAAAATE!

To purchase any of the polishes shown today, look to Pahlish's Big Cartel shop, and Facebook page, Blog, or Instagram for updates. Other stockists of Pahlish are Llarowe and Edgy Polish.

Indigo Bananas Thursday

Good morning! I have a new-to-me brand to showcase today, Indigo Bananas! I have been eyeing her products for a while, I honestly can't tell you why I hadn't purchased any until now, each one of these polishes were stunning. The four polishes I was sent are ones that could be worn by themselves or layered for a whole other look, and I thought I would wear them both ways. Formula wise, they are great. Not too thick or thin, though I would recommend waiting a minute or two between coats if you are going for three layers.

Indigo Bananas 2% Butterscotch Ripple
Three coats
Plum jelly base with gold to green color shifting glitter
Love the name reference from Willy Wonka. And the polish color, it's so delicious looking.
Layering it over the creme Tom Ford base allows the glitter to pop.

Indigo Bananas 2% Butterscotch Ripple
Layered over Tom Ford Bitter Bitch

Indigo Bananas A Star to Sail By
Three coats
Clear base with gold, pink, pink to gold flakes and added holo micro-shimmer.
Beautiful! Only one word for it.
I love the warm tone to the look as well as the high impact reflective effect.

Indigo Bananas A Star to Sail By
Layered over Elevation Polish Sample XXH #5

Indigo Bananas We Are the Music Makers
Three coats
Teal jelly base with teal to blue to purple color shifting glitter and holo sparkle
Seriously gorgeous. I can't believe just how much it is, especially in person.
I really loved this one more by itself, I liked how it looks in the teal base rather than layered over a darker color.

Indigo Bananas We Are the Music Makers
Layered over Magnetic Freakin' Violet

Indigo Bananas Hot Ice Creams for Cold Days
Three coats
Fuchsia jelly holographic base with holographic glitter and violet color shifting shimmer.
BAM! In-your-face color and holo. As well as another name reference to Willy Wonka.

Indigo Bananas Cuticle Balm in Macaroon
I was asked if there was anything in particular I wanted to try and the cuticle balm was definitely my pick.
I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and really love this product!
I apply it each night after I remove my polish from the day. It absorbs quickly and is not too greasy, allowing me to type on my laptop, mess with my phone, generally go about my evening without worrying about greasy fingertips.
I like the Macaroon scent quite a bit, I believe that is one of her newer scents that will be releasing soon. It's a little sweet without being overwhelmingly so.
I don't use cuticle oils, I much prefer balms and lotions and was very impressed by Indigo Banana's balm, I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for something new to try out.

Indigo Bananas products can be purchased in her Etsy store here, as well as through Edgy Polish and Mei Mei's Signatures. Updates regarding the brand can be found on her Facebook page and website

Pahlish All of Time and Space Part Two Collection

Hey everyone! If you thought Part One of Pahlish's All of Time and Space Collection was amazing, then hold on for dear life, I have Part Two of the Doctor Who inspired collection on my blog today.

Pahlish Crimson, Eleven, Delight, Petrichor
Two coats
Pale pink creme with neon pink and coral, fuchsia, and watermelon glitter and red flake shimmer
For the girl who's tired of waiting.
This is different than what we have been seeing from Pahlish for a while now. And I love it! It is a gorgeous polish and hopefully a sign of upcoming spring.

Pahlish Cross My Hearts
Two coats
Oxblood jelly base with iridescent violet and red micro-flakes and a touch of purple shimmer.
Just another reminder of exactly why we love the Doctor. And Pahlish. Together? BOOM.

Pahlish The Oldest Question
Two coats
Gray jelly base with copper and gold glitter and copper shimmer
*shudder* The Silence....they are probably the most creepy villain of the show. Yes, even more so that the Weeping Angels, at least to me. And this polish makes them a little more appealing as an inspiration. But only  a bit.

Pahlish This Song is Ending
Two coats
Turquoise creme with red micro-flake shimmer
Such a great episode! Those Ood's, they are a inspiring race.
As for this polish, it's almost too lovely for words. The creme base is saturated and those red flakes add a nice contrast.

Pahlish Raggedy Man, Good Night
Two coats
Charcoal jelly holo with copper shimmer and violet iridescent micro-flakes
Sigh...so many feels with that goodbye. SO MANY.
The shimmer is this holo is just so intense and much more visible than my photos can pull off.

Pahlish My Bespoke Psychopath
Two coats
Purple jelly holo with red micro-flakes
River Song, the woman made to kill the Doctor.
And I could not think of a better color to represent her.
This bold deep purple is dark and magical and the red flakes come out again to add an unexpected detail.

Super Black Lacquers Friday

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I don't have anything specifically love day themed but I do have a few Super Black Lacquers to share today. I am so enamored with this brand's packaging, the clean lines and bold type really appeal to me. If you would like to pick up a few Super Black Lacquers for yourself, then check out her shop here, as well as her Facebook page

Super Black Lacquers Weird Girl
Two coats
Pale gray with gold/red/purple slight shimmer
Very much opal-like.
It's a very hard to pin down color but it looks beautiful and subtle at the same time.

Super Black Lacquers Slap Happy
Two coats
Cherry red jelly with gold and silver holo micro-glitter
Hot damn, this is a mighty fine polish!
It's bold and with just the right amount of sparkle.

Super Black Lacquers Pocket Change
Two coats
Orange toned coral holographic polish
I thought this would be more orange and coppery but it was more coral. Still, I love the color, it's exactly the type of shade I am drawn toward.
I did not apply topcoat for the full sunlight photo, as it will dull the holo effect, which is nice and linear.

Takko Lacquer Créateur and Spirited Away

Hey guys! I have a couple of newer Takko Lacquers for you today.

Takko Lacquer Créateur
Two coats
Black creme with golden shimmer and light holo effect.
Dark and mysterious indeed. It is loaded with that gold shimmer making the polish look almost chocolate in coloring instead of a straight black. The holo pigment is linear not super strong, with such a pigmented creme base though, I am not surprised.

Takko Lacquer Spirited Away
Two coats
Pink? Purple? Pink/purple with blue/green silver shimmer and light holo pigment
Another that is a super saturated color, making the holo not as bold as I prefer but that is a minor thing. It applies smoothly and the color is bright as can be.

To purchase Takko Lacquer, look to her shop here. You can get updates on Takko Lacquer's restocks or new color releases on her Twitter or Instagram.
