Chaos & Crocodiles Once Upon a Unicorn Collection Continued: Swatches and Review

Hello! I have some new pretties from Chaos & Crocodiles today. These three polishes are a continuation of the Once Upon a Unicorn Collection. The original six of that collection was first released way back in 2015, here is my review of that set (my lighting was a whole different sort of set up). 

Formula Notes:

The thing about Chaos & Crocodiles polishes is that they are so dang good, formula wise. I have yet to wear a holo or really any other finish, from this brand that is not super easy to put on. They have a nice consistency, not too thick or thin or watery and are each opaque in two coats and I barely had any clean up to do. They are creme based holo so while they are linear holo polishes, the holo flame is a medium density one. I love the dusky and soft but still saturated colors and they are a nice continuation of the original six OUaU set. 

The Once Upon a Unicorn Collection 2017 will be available starting April 23rd in Chaos & Crocodiles' shop.

Chaos & Crocodiles Snowbound Collection: Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! I have some new Chaos & Crocodiles polishes today. If you are a fan of Chaos & Crocs polishes, you know that restocks and new releases can sell out quickly. For the Snowbound Collection, Sarey is going to keep these available in her shop until December 23rd pending major bottle or supply shortage. Yay, more Chaos & Crocs for everyone!

As for the collection, you will be happy to know that each one of these applied PERFECTLY. I don't use that term lightly but Sarey really does formulate easy to apply polishes and these were no exception. Two coats for coverage for each one and in rich, beautiful colors that are winter appropriate but wearable any 'ole time you want.

There are two mystery polishes but some new and restocked merchandise in her shop. Those are more limited in volume so they may not last until the 23rd. The mystery polishes and all of the merch will be 20% off if you use the code CHAOSALLTHETHINGS (good through December 11th) plus there is a $2 discount already built into the price of the Snowbound set.

Chaos & Crocodiles Essence of Nostalgia

Two coats

Bright purple base with purple shimmer, red/green shifting iridescent glitter, holographic micro-glitter, and holographic pigment
What a fantastic purple! So saturated and BRIGHT. It did have a bit of texture from the glitter, so make sure to apply a generous layer or two of topcoat for a glass smooth finish.

Two coats

Silver based linear holographic with blue/purple/red/copper color-shifting pigment

That holo though, insane, amIright? Very high density and with the combined color-shifting pigment, you have magic on your nails.

Chaos & Crocodiles Polar Bear Snow Angels

Two coats

Pale blue linear holographic with purple shimmer

This is a creme based holo so it has a lower density holo. The pale, icy blue color is a slightly dusky and pretty as can be.

Chaos & Crocodiles Red Velvet Cake at Midnight

Two coats

Blackened wine red linear holographic 

DAMN. Did you have any doubt this would be my favorite? (Probably not.) For those who may want a comparison of it with Never Give Up on a Miracle, this is darker, in a black base, with a more obvious, blue flame holo.

This color. THIS COLOR. It's so very blurple. And applies perfectly. I don't think I needed to do any clean up before I took my photos, that's how flawlessly it applies. The holo is very high density holo flame.

Two coats

Light aqua linear holographic

Pretty as can be! It's light and fresh and I can see the macaron inspiration. It has a cream based holo formula so while it's a paler color, I did not need more than two coats for coverage. The holo flame is a low to medium one.

Red to blue to purple multi-chrome linear holographic

YES. PERFECTION. If you can only buy one polish, this is the one to get. It's so shifty and rich and flat out gorgeous. Application was wonderful, two coats for coverage and that holo, damn, it's bold.

Chaos & Crocodiles The New Neighbors Mini Collection: Swatches and Review

Hey all! I am excited to share with you some new polishes from Chaos & Crocodiles. These four polishes make up her upcoming The New Neighbors Mini Collection. Also included in this release is a new item, a enamel pin of Chaos the Crocodile, the Chaos & Crocodiles mascot, .

Did you know that maker Sarey creates and designs her branding and her mascots? They are each so cute and I always keep the extras that accompany my orders. Chaos, the little crocodile, is one that is on her logo and now you will be able to carry him along with you in the form of an enamel pin that you can attach to your favorite tote, lapel or for me, it will be on my name-tag. Just a little happiness to brighten your day. The color of Chaos' heart is the same magenta that is the very appropriately named Cuddles from Chaos, shown below.

Magenta/fuchsia creme with added holographic sparkle

Sweet as can be, with a saturated pink coloring. Application was lovely, two easy coats for coverage. In the sun, the holo flame is a lower density one but it warms the color and adds some sparkle.

Chaos & Crocodiles An Alpaca with a Plan

Pale beige soft holographic

You guys are going to laugh at me but my favorite of all four polishes is this pretty beige polish. Yes I love bold pinks, but I love just as much cool toned neutrals. And this one is wonderful. I was expecting to need three with it's lighter coloring and was pleasantly surprised that it was opaque in two coats! Like Cuddles from Chaos, the holo flame is a lower density one.

Teal-leaning blue with four different shimmers and holographic pigment

Gorgeous teal blue shimmer in holo form. The shimmer in the polish give it a metallic or mirrored quality that I quite like. It was a bit thicker in formula than the previous two but this was not an issue with application.

Light purple super holographic polish

You purple polish lovers will want to snag this one. The coloring is somewhat between lavender and lilac to me, regardless, it sure is pretty. It has crazy bold linear holo flame that I absolutely could not stop staring at. Application was great, two coat and you're done.

I am trying to get my nail art on more so hopefully that means more nail art in my blog reviews. We shall see how long that goes lol. When I saw An Alpaca with a Plan and Cuddles from Chaos sitting next to each other on my desk, I thought they NEEDED to be worn together. A simple dotted pattern that is super easy to pull off, with An Alpaca with a Plan as the base, and Cuddles from Chaos dotted on with my trusty dotting tool.
