Ever After Dream & Great Lakes Lacquer Shiner Duo Collaboration: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey you guys! (Did anyone hear that in a Goonies' voice?) I have polishes today from Ever After Polish and Great Lakes Lacquer. These two brands teamed up for a collaboration set that will debut at Polish Con NYC 2017 this Saturday April 29th, the polishes will be available at a later date but that info is TBD right now. Along with the two polishes, included in the set will be Ever After Sparkle, apple scented cuticle crelly that will come in a 2 oz jar.

Ever After Dream
Two coats
Cool pool blue with shifting blue to pink/purple shimmer
So lovely! The shimmer really makes this such a dreamy blue. It's a little on the sheer side, I did have opaque enough coverage in two coats but you may find that three coats works better, depending on your nail length, etc.

Great Lakes Lacquer Shine
Two coats
Delicate but bold pink with undertones of blue with a strong linear holo
A beautiful contrast with this pink to the blue Ever After Polish. I like the added holo, it adds some extra sparkle both in and out of the sun. Easy application, with just two coats needed for opacity.

Great Lakes Lacquer Polish Con NYC 2017 LE's: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! For today I have new polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer. These four are limited editions created for Polish Con and although they will debut at Polish Con NYC on April 29th, they will not be exclusive to the event. If you are not able to go to Polish Con, you will be able to purchase these in Great Lakes Lacquer's shop on May 5th at 2 pm EST through May 12th, limited to that sale date window.

Great Lakes Lacquer A Bite of the Big Apple
Two coats
Magenta red jelly with purple to red multi-chrome flake, purple/blue/gold iridescent flakes, and copper and on tone shimmer
Holy shitsnacks this is amazing! I looove the contrast of those flakes in the bold magenta base. Applies like a dream with two coats for coverage.

Great Lakes Lacquer Brooklyn Shenanigan
Two coats
Royal purple linear holographic with a multi-chrome shift from intense red to gold and orange
YES. YES. YES.
Clearly going to be a in demand polish. So very pretty. Applies really well, I got coverage in two coats, if you have longer nails, you may find that you need three coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Coney Island Queen
Two coats
Grayed out blue base multi-chrome with shifts from bright blue to purple to fuchsia to orange and scattered holo effect.
This is a more subdued color but not less fantastic. The shift is a little subtle but definitely there. The creme based formula is slightly thicker than the previous two polishes but applies without issue.

Great Lakes Lacquer Spring at Prospect Park
Two coats
Sky blue crelly with shifting flake of the iridescent and multi-chrome variety that include the colors blue, gold, green, and purple with shimmer that shifts from green to blue and a scattering of holo.
Another beautiful polish, good gosh Mariah killed it with these. Again, the contrast of base and flakes here is wonderful, especially with that vibrant sky blue color. I was expecting to need three coats and was happy to see that I needed just two. Longer nails or those who apply thinner coats may need three.

Great Lakes Lacquer March 2017 LE's: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi all! For today I have the newest monthly limited edition polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer. These LE polishes for March will be available on today March 1st (2 PM EST) to April 2nd in Great Lakes Lacquer's shop.

Great Lake Lacquer Looking for Spring
Two coats
Tea rose pink holographic with a light gold sheen
Such a beautiful tea rose pink shade. I love that extra gold flash you see in the base. It applies oh so well with two coats for coverage.

Great Lakes Lacquer Longing for Lilacs
Two coats
Bright lilac purple with copper shimmer and a scattered holo finish
*swoon* Light and airy but still quite vibrant. I am head over heads for it. Fluid crelly formula with that I full expected to need three coats for opacity but got away with two instead.

Great Lakes Lacquer Nurture Our Nature
Two coats
Moss green scattered holo with reddish pink to gold shifting shimmer
A lovely, dusky green to balance out the set. Easy peasy application with two coats again for coverage.

Anonamaker Collaboration Project Box 3: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! We are going to start out this week with a bang with the Anonamaker Collaboration Project Box #3. What is the Anonamker Project? It's a collab box featuring multiple brands, with polishes inspired by the craziness that can come from the Acetone Alley Facebook group, with a key feature being a anonymous topic submission. It's an....interesting place to be for sure (with a lot of saltiness to be had) but I don't think I could ever quit that place.

This round we have polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer, GlitterDaze, Supermoon Lacquer, Colors by Llarowe, and Ellagee plus a hand painted glass magnet from The Howling Boutique
and a super salty little goodie bag including an Acetone Alley membership card AND a glassy topcoat bottle from Ellagee. In keeping tradition from previous boxes, I am not revealing which polish belongs to which brand (cause Anonamaker is Anon), though if you wanted to see more clues, check out The Polished Hippy's review or Polish and Paws' review. Future editions will feature a different mix of brands.

Pre-order is available from March 1-11 in the Anonamker section of Ellagee's shop. The first 30 boxes will be ready for immediate shipping. All box orders after the first 30 and all individual item orders will begin shipping on or before March 21. Any additional items ordered with pre-order items will all ship at the same time.
The boxed set is $50 plus you can purchase individual bottles.

Anonamaker Go Home Anon, You're Drunk
Two coats
Whisky brown linear holographic with red to copper shimmer
"Cause we all need a drink after that anon nonsense."
That is one good looking brown and this is from a person who doesn't usually like brown polishes. It has that pretty shimmer which adds warmth to the base and is super high density holo. It's jelly finish formula applies really well, needing two coats for coverage.

Anonamaker Rage Flounce
Two coats
Hot magenta holographic with gold flash
"Cause you are better than all of these bitches and you're leaving, so there!"
I fell head-over-heels for this shade. It's bright and that gold flash is everything. Applies oh so well with two coats again for coverage.

Anonamaker Girl, Bye!
Three coats
Purple toned mauve with holographic micro-flakes and purple shimmer
"Wave those glittery hands while you tell Felicia goodbye."
A light and girly pink with loads of that silver holo flake and shimmer. It's not quite opaque with two coats, I needed three thinner style coats for opacity.

(Under LED Lighting)

Anonamaker It's Apple Pie Mother F#*@&%!
Two coats
Peach nude crelly with warm toned shimmer, scattered holo, and red shifting multi-chrome flakes "Have a seat and enjoy your pie."
Unusual and understated and definitely a favorite for me. I looooove the flakes in this base. The crelly formula is an easy one to apply, two coats here for coverage.

(With Matte Topcoat)

Anonamaker No $h!t, Sherlock
Two coats
Dark inky blue with turquoise/purple and blue/red shifting shimmer, iridescent rainbow micro-flakes, and a scattered holographic finish.
"Inspired by the legendary seat serving and sleuthing skills of the amazing Karl."
Last but certainly not least is this tasty rich looking blue shimmer. It has a slightly thicker style shimmer formula but goes on well with two coats needed for opacity.

Great Lakes Lacquer Polishing Poetic Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey all! For today I have Great Lakes Lacquer's Polishing Poetic Collection, inspired by classic (and a couple modern) works of poetry.

Formula Notes:
The entire collection is simply stunning, I especially love the poetic influence that Mariah was inspired by. Each polish is a gorgeous multi-chrome that applies oh so easily, with no issues to speak of in application. I had opaque coverage in two coats for each one plus my standard layer of topcoat. Some of the shift in these multi-chrome are going to be more obvious while a couple are more subtle. The colors are all rich and beautifully done, and I got all starry-eyed over the three high density holos.

I really loved the entire set and think that it's worth purchasing them all to have in your collection. That said, if I was to pick favorites, those would be I Carry Your Heart, The Centre Cannot Hold, and The Dying of the Light.

The Polishing Poetic Collection is available now in Great Lakes Lacquer's shop
