Hare Polish Never Ending Summer Trio: Swatches and Review

Hello! I have one more set of polishes from Hare Polish to share with you today. These three make up her recently released Never Ending Summer Trio, inspired by Nikole's Southern California summer season that "just won't quit". I can totally relate, living in Texas, it's hard to get into the fall state of mind when we are still experiencing very warm 80-90 degree days! I do love fall polish collections with their warm and darker colors but I was very happy to see a bright and light set from Hare Polish.

Hare Polish "Another Scorcher." ... "Cool."

Three coats

Pink crelly with black, neon blue, golden iridescent glitter with golden metallic flakes and soft blue shimmer

A very bubblicious shade of pink. I adore those little specks of gold flakes that peep through. Nice application, I got full coverage in three coats. 

Hare Polish Permanently Poolside

Three coats

Soft blue crelly with bubblegum pink, white, neon blue, red and hot orange glitter with purple metallic flakes
The dreamiest shade of light blue. It's has the pop of color with the red to contrast. Nice fluid formula and three coats with get you full opacity. 

Hare Polish Is It Over Yet?

Three coats

Minty green crelly with bubblegum pink, white, and golden iridescent glitter plus metallic royal blue flakes and soft blue shimmer
This has a *very* soft mint shade, which I think will make it more appealing to all, even those who may not like mint. The soft pink accents and contrasting blue flakes are wonderful. Same application as the others, thinner style formula that is expected from Hare and three coats for coverage.

Hare Polish "We Have to Go Back, Kate!" - The Lost Collection, Part One: Swatches and Review

Hey all! I have a few polishes from Hare Polish today to share. Since they are two different collections, I am going to break them up into two different blog posts. This first collection is named "We Have to Go Back, Kate!" - The Lost Collection, Part One, a three polish set inspired by the TV show, Lost. Part Two will release at some point in the future, though I can't say when at this time. 

Oh man, Lost. How can I accurately describe how much this show can suck you in. It's addictive, that's for sure, so I can see why Nikole was inspired by the material. I have seen every episode and when the show was running, I would meet up weekly with a group of friends to watch the latest episode. The show ending? Let's just say I wasn't a big fan and no one's feelings will get hurt. 

As for the polishes themselves, they are so flipping gorgeous! I am constantly blown away by Nikole's ability to mix up the colors and glitter/shimmer that she does. Each ones applied easily. The do have a thinner style formula so you will likely need to apply three coats to get complete coverage, which is how I have each polish shown as.

Hare Polish 4.8.15.16.23.42

Three coats

Black jelly with large silver, green/blue ultra-chrome, and bronze flakes plus golden iridescent and purple/blue iridescent glitter.

Those iridescent flakes! I love them in the dark black, they shift in color so well in jelly base. You could get away with two thickly applied coats but I did three thin ones instead and that worked best for me.

Hare Polish The Swan Station

Three coats

White jelly with large silver and bronze micro -flakes and lime iridescent glitter

My favorite of the three. It's very subtle and the white looks more cream colored with the warm bronze glitter.

Hare Polish You All Everybody

Three coats

Sea blue jelly with silver and green ultra-chrome flakes plus golden iridescent glitter and aqua shimmer

The sea blue color is just ...WOW! So pretty! And you can see glints of the aqua shimmer.

Hare Polish Two Forty-Five AM and Daddy Warlock from October 2015's A Box, Indied: Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! I have a few Hare Polishes to share with you this week. Because they are grouped into different collections, I will be posting multiple blog posts. For today, I have two limited edition Hare Polishes, check back tomorrow for the others. 

Hare Polish Two Forty-Five AM

Three coats

Dusky lavender jelly with white glitter, blue, green, and copper ultra-chrome flakes

The combination of those particularly colored flakes in that gray toned purple shouldn't work but it totally does. That's the magic of Hare Polishes. Nice fluid formula that is opaque in three coats. The jelly base gives it a high shine. 

Unfortunately this was one of those polishes created as a late night "lab accident" so it is no longer available. If you see it for sale, grab it!

Hare Polish Daddy Warlock

Three coats

Black jelly base with gold, red, and copper ultra-chrome flakes and golden holographic shimmer.

The gold shimmer and gold/red/copper flakes give this a warm coloring, it looks almost like a brown base instead of a black one. It does have a linear holo flame which is a lower density one. Application was easy, not too thick on the formula and three coats for complete coverage. 

Daddy Warlock is exclusively part of the October 2015 A Box, Indied along with other polishes from Colors by Llarowe, Different Dimenion, Girly Bits, and Serum No 5. There are a few boxes left, you can get those here until it sells out.

Hare Polish Dreams Under a Microscope, Pilgrimage to Pebble Beach, Sea Bunny, & Inverse Universe: Swatches and Review

Hey all! I have a few new Hare Polishes to share with you today. One of these was released just last night, along with a restock of older colors, in Hare Polish's shop. 

Hare Polish Dreams Under a Microscope 

Three coats 

Dusty sea blue jelly with white and lavender squares, charcoal, copper, white and ultra-chrome flakes and holographic shimmer

Hare releases some awesome blue shades and this is a pretty addition to that color group. Those flakes add some contrast against the base. 

Hare Polish Pilgrimage to Pebble Beach

Three coats 

Bright neon green jelly with copper and blue to purple ultra-chrome flakes

This is the latest Twin Peaks inspired polish from Hare, released last night, here is the blog post from Hare about it. I liked this one a whole lot, it's bold green color is always appreciated and the flakes pop in the green. It reminds me of another bright green, Asteroid Turf, which was an older Hare Polish. 

Hare Polish Sea Bunny

Three coats 

Ivory jelly base with black glitter, charcoal and gold flakes and holographic shimmer. 

Part of the Jackalope series, this one was inspired by the Jorunna parva, aka a sea slug affectionately called a Sea Bunny. SO CUTE. The polish itself represents the inspiration perfectly in my opinion, with it's ethereal look and black and gold accents. 

Hare Polish Inverse Universe

Three coats 

Wine jelly base with linear holographic pigment and ultra-chrome flakes

Part of the September 2015 A Box, Indied: Opposites Attract that will be exclusively available through Llarowe on August 26th. 

If you will recall from my post yesterday of Crows Toes Happy Shiny People, the theme is brands creating polishes that are not typical of to their line, so this is the first linear holo from Hare. Don't expect this to be a crazy super linear holo flame, as it has a number of other ingredients that prevent that. You will have instead a complex and richly colored polish with an added linear holo flame in direct sunlight.

Hare Polish Bikini Kill Inspired Duo: Swatches and Review

Hey all! I have a new duo of polishes from Hare Polish to share with you today. These were recently released a couple of weeks ago and per Nikole, the creator of Hare Polish, she created the duo as a love letter to her favorite feminist punk band, Bikini Kill. 

The Bikini Kill Inspired Duo is not available at the moment in her Etsy shop but follow Hare Polish on Instagram and Facebook, she has been doing surprise restocks lately and will likely restock soon. 

Hare Polish  Alien She

Three coats

Dusty cotton candy pink jelly with aqua and lavender dots, white squares, golden iridescent hexes, green/blue shifting ultra-chrome flakes, and holographic shimmer.

A lot going on here but it all works together to make this delicate but also complicated polish. Thinner style formula, which is something I am used to from Hare Polish's jelly based polishes but three coats will get you full coverage with the barest hint of visible nail line. 

Hare Polish Double Dare Ya

Three coats

Teal jelly with aqua and baby pink dots, white squares, golden iridescent hexes, green/blue shifting ultra-chrome flakes, and holographic shimmer.

You take the same ingredients that are in Alien She but with a darker, blue base and it looks like totally different polish. Magic hands I say! The glitter pops more against this base and the holo shimmer is a bit more prominent. Same formula and application as Alien She.

Hare Polish Lana Del Rey Duo: Swatches and Review

Hey all! I have Hare Polish's Lana Del Rey Duo for you today. This duo was inspired of course by Lana Del Rey and was a limited edition set that Hare released in her shop late May. It is not available in her shop any longer but limited amounts were sent to Hare Polish's other stockists so check out Llarowe, Rainbow Connection and Femme Fatale Cosmetics to see if they will be receiving this set and when. 

Hare Polish I'm Your National Anthem

Three coats

Cherry red jelly base with blue to purple ultra chrome flakes, gold micro-flakes and holo pigment

*DROOL* One gorgeous looking polish! I love a good red (and this a GOOD red) and then you add the flakes and just that dash of holo to give it the extra sparkle. Thinner style formula since it's a jelly so I ended up doing three coats for coverage with a hint of my visible nail below.

Hare Polish Pretty When I Cry

Three coats

Sandy taupe with metallic silver and blue iridescent flakes and blue shimmer

A very nice compliment to I'm Your National Anthem. I didn't think of it at the time but I bet they would look awesome together. I like the coolness of the metallic flakes in sandy base. This also has a thinner formula, it needs at least three coats for coverage.

Hare Polish Femme Fatale Exclusives Kraken Vacations on Kangaroo Island & Mermaid Sighting in the GBR: Swatches and Review

Hare Polish Kraken Vacations on Kangaroo Island

Three coats

Bright purple magenta jelly base with black and blue/purple iridescent glitter

ACK, SO PRETTY. That's was my first reaction. It's a bold color and the black contrasts so well against it. Three coats to build to full coverage and a generous layer (or two) of topcoat and you're done. 

Hare Polish Mermaid Sighting in the GBR

Three coats

Teal blue jelly base with light pink dots, gold glitter and flakes and blue iridescence. 

I can definitely see the mermaid inspiration and I love the glow of iridescence. This is a bit thicker compared to Kraken Vacations on Kangaroo Island, so just wait a bit between coats.

Hare Polish Stir Crazy Spring 2015 Collection + Hare Polish Archipelago 2.0: Swatches and Review

Hello! I have Hare Polish's newest collection to share with you. The Stir Crazy Collection is a Spring 2015 release, consisting of five polishes, all crelly bases with flakes and glitter. 

The formula for these five are on the sheer side, I needed no less than three coats for full coverage for each of the polishes. I would have liked for them to be more opaque but I totally get why they are somewhat sheer, you have to find the just right opacity for those flakes and shimmer to shine through without becoming lost in the base color. You could easily layer these if you like but I prefer to build to opacity instead, I like like the squishy look that a crelly has. 

These polishes though, they are worth the patience. I am always surprised as well as blown away by what Hare comes up with. Born to Roam is my favorite of the set but then I have yet to meet a mint green that I didn't need.

I have lots of nostalgic feelings for the original as not only was it my first Hare Polish but it was my first indie polish, purchased way back in August 2011. This updated version is pretty damn awesome, lots of glitter so make sure to double topcoat it.
