Model City Polish Spring 2016 Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey guys! I have polishes from Model City Polish for today in the form of her Spring 2016 Collection.

The polishes in this collection are so pretty and they all coordinate so well together. I like the duskiness of the colors, they are pastel but not your traditional super pale pastel shades. And the addition of the holo pigment and flakes, they are mmm mmm good!

Formula and application was about the same for each polish so I will just provide that notation here at the top. The are on the thin side in formula so I did need about three coats for each one for coverage. They are easy to apply though, I did very little clean up, which is always a good feature for me. If I had to pick a favorite of the collection, I would say Petals in the Wind, because that petal pink is so dreamy.

The Spring 2016 Collection is available now in Model City Polish's shop!

Model City Polish Things I Love Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! I have a few polishes from Model City Polish to share today. These three are polishes that are inspired by some of maker Nina's favorite albums and in three of her favorite finishes. The three shown here are available right now in Model City Polish's shop!

Model City Polish Holiday
Three coats
Smoky purple crelly with small pink hearts, silver holographic, grey, purple iridescent glitter
I tend to shy away from crelly polishes but this one was really nice with it's purple/gray coloring and the hearts, love those pink hearts. It was somewhat opaque in two coats with a bit of visible nail so I did a third coat for complete coverage.

Model City Polish Liberty City
Three coats
Blue jelly with white and silver holographic stars plus green and blue holographic hexes
Wow, this is so blue and striking! And jam packed with glitter but despite that, not troublesome at all with application.
Inspired by the band Less Than Jake

Model City Polish Making Friends
Two coats
Warm red linear holographic
Goodness, will you look at that red beauty? This is definitely my favorite shade of red and in holo form it is fantastic. Application is so so good, needing just two coats for coverage and a medium high linear holo flame.
Inspired by the album Double Plaidinum by Lagwagon

Such a sweet looking shade of pink, plus flawless application in two coats.

Model City Polish Frozen
 Two coats
Vibrant blue jelly with silver holographic glitter and holographic pigment
I love how pretty those silver glitters look in the deep blue base. It makes me want to put this on and twirl around in the snow, except that we have no snow in central Texas.

Model City Polish Glisten
Three coats
Pale gray jelly with silver holographic glitter and holographic pigment
So light and delicate. It is very much a "winter" polish in my eyes. This is one that you will likely need to apply at least three coats to get complete coverage.

Model City Polish Grape Crush
 Two coats
Grape purple jelly with silver holographic glitter and holographic pigment
So gosh darn PURPLE. Same super easy application as the first two shown.

(Direct Sunlight)

Model City Polish Teal Next Year
Two coats
Teal green jelly with gold holographic glitter and holographic pigment
I love that this has gold glitter instead of silver because it compliments the teal really well. Two coats and you're done!

Model City Polish Fall 2015 Collection plus Blue Jean Blues, One Piece at a Time & Paradise City: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! I have a some polishes from Model City Polish for you all today. Nina, the maker behind the brand, is also a blogger, and I had the brief chance to meet her while in Las Vegas for Cosmo Prof and she is an all-round lovely person.

The first five are a part of her Fall 2015 Collection, a set of five holographic glitter finishes, perfect for this festive time of the year. I am also including three super linear holographic polishes that Nina provided for me. These three are previously released holos that have a crazy hold linear holo flame and are also available in her shop.

This was my first time reviewing polishes from Model City Polish and I was very impressed by both the polish colors and the fantastic formula each one had. Each polish was opaque in two coats and had a really nice consistency. The Fall Collection polishes are filled with sparkle with their holo pigment and glitter. They look so pretty both in and out of direct light. So, if you haven't had a chance to check out Model City Polish, now is a great time to start!

The Fall 2015 Collection is available now in Model City Polish's Etsy shop. I also have a discount code for you.

Use the code IDANAILS10 for 10% off your order until November 30th.
