Polish My Life Naughty Nauticals Collection: Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! For today I have polishes from Polish My Life. Her Naughty Nauticals Collection is a six piece collection of jelly/creme hybrid polishes all tied into a nautical theme. 

Formula Notes:
The formula for these are crelly in nature, by that I mean they are not straight up jelly based polishes but are more sheer than a creme based polish would be. I applied each one over a ridge builder (which provides a little more of an opaque base) and three coats for each polish. If you have shorter nails, with less visible nail line, then you may be able to get away with two coats. If you apply very thin coats as a habit, you may find that you need up to four coats for coverage (especially if you have longer nails).

All that said about the opacity, I do love how the formula performs. It is fluid but not too watery and I did not have an issue with polish pooling in my cuticles. Also, because of the crelly-ness, they have a nice shiny finish, though I do apply topcoat. I also love the variation of the colors in the set. You get a couple of lighter toned colors combined with a few other brighter ones and they all play well off of each other. Buoyant & Bouncy and These Beaches are Bold! are my favorites, I loved how vibrant those are.

Polish My Life Slay By Polish Collection: Swatches and Review

Hey everyone! I don't know about you all but I need a little distraction for today and what better way than to share some new polishes from Polish My Life. These four are part of the upcoming Slay By Polish Collection. 

These four are creme formula with light scattered holo pigment added. Each one was simply wonderful to put on, I got opaque coverage in two for all but one and they colors feel fresh and fun, just what you need to start the new year out with. 

The Slay By Polish Collection will be available starting Wednesday, January 25th in Polish My Life's shop. 

Polish My Life Grey Slay

Two coats

Pale grey creme with subtle scattered holo

A very cool toned, light grey which is a nice neutral to the other dark/brighter colors in the set. 

Polish My Life Pink Lady

Three coats

Light flamingo pink creme with subtle scattered holo

Beautiful pop of pink color. It applies a bit more like a crelly, so three coats worked best for opacity. 

Polish My Life Queen B

Two coats

Black creme with subtle scattered holo

I love how deeply black this color is. It is also very opaque, barely needing two coats. 

Polish My Life The Lavi Life

Two coats

Lilac purple creme with subtle scattered holo

Crisp and light and so gosh darn pretty. The holo is probably the most subtle in this polish but it's definitely there and adds just enough sparkle to make you happy.

A beautiful and rich blue creme. Very saturated, so while I did not have any staining from swatching (usually a good sign), I do recommend a good base (or double layer) to prevent any staining.

October Gleam 

My oh my, another dreamy blue. This is just slightly more green in coloring but definitely a teal blue. Very opaque, coverage here is with two coats.

November Creme

I love this! Exclamation point! It's like a smooth butterscotch orange, which is not a color I see too often. Very nice application, it self levels well and is opaque in just two coats.

November Gleam 

A little darker, slightly more tan holo Gleam version. Which I am just as much in love with. Nice subtle holo flame.

Layered over Too Hot Tourmaline

December Glitter

December birthdays have claim to three gemstones; Zircon, Tanzanite and Turquoise, so Shaneka decided to create a polish that would include all of those with this glitter. Lots of sparkle and something that could easily be layered over dark or light colors, either to compliment or contrast, whatever you are in the mood for. I have it shown over both the creme polishes in this release to show you the differences.

Polish My Life Girls & Boys Collection NYC Edition: Swatches and Review

Polish My Life 9 to 5 Hustle

Oh my, a beautiful and sophisticated shade of purple. It goes on so smoothly, with just two coats for coverage. 

Polish My Life Concrete Jungle

Meant to represent the greenery of Central Park. I love again, the duskiness of the color and of course the formula and application. This is slightly on the thinner side, more like a crelly but still opaque enough in two coats.

Concrete gray creme

Cool toned and slick (with topcoat of course) and fits in perfectly in a NYC inspired set. Formula again, like the others was perfection.
