The Holo Hookup May 2017 Box: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey y'all! For today, I have June's Holo Hookup Box to share. Along with polishes from Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow, this month's guest maker is Anonymous Lacquer. The theme is 'Famous and Failed' with the inspiration pic below (this theme, LOL):

The June 2017 Holo Hookup Box is available now via a week long pre-order window from May 21st at 9 pm EST until May 28th at 9 pm EST only in the Holo Hookup shop

The box is $40 plus shipping which will be available domestically and internationally.

Cupcake Polish Brad & Angelina
Two coats
Dark navy blue linear holographic
Dark and stormy blue, just as, I would imagine Brad and Angelina's relationship to be. Very pigmented, with barely two coats needed for coverage.

Dimension Kristen & Rob
Two coats
Emerald green linear holographic with gold galaxy micro-glitters and gunmetal micro-flakes
I always felt like Kristen and Rob's relationship was too manufactured and not really a legit thing but maybe I am totally off base with that. Regardless, this is a gorgeous green, especially with the glitter and flakes, and goes on easily in two coats.

Glisten & Glow Amber & Kanye
Two coats
Antiqued golden linear holographic polish loaded with gold shimmer, gold bronze, and copper flakes with a dusting of gold holo microglitters
Hmmm, pretty sure Amber is better off now, considering how much we know about Kanye. Still, you can bask in this golden goodness, again, easy to apply in two coats.

Anonymous Lacquer Britney & Justin
Two coats
Stoned washed denim blue holographic
That matching jumpsuit look will haunt Britney and Justin FOREVER. This polish though is a much better rendition of denim blue, with slight silvered feel. Slightly more thin in consistency but two coats still for coverage.

The Holo Hookup May 2017 Box: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey y'all! For today, I have May's Holo Hookup Box to share. Along with polishes from Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow, this month's guest maker is Cadillacquer. The theme is 'Off To Broadway' with the inspiration pic below:

The May 2017 Holo Hookup Box will be available April 21st at 9 pm EST until April 28th at 9 pm EST only in the Holo Hookup shop

Important! ---> May's box is NOT a pre-order and will be sold in a first come, first serve basis. So while it falls under the same time frame as previous pre-order windows, once it sells out, it will be marked sold out.

The box is $40 plus shipping which will be available domestically and internationally.

Cupcake Polish Defying Gravity
Two coats
Lime green linear holographic with gold shimmer, gold flakes, and holo micro-glitter
Inspired by: Wicked
Could you make a "Wicked" inspired polish and have it be any other color? Well you could, but this is exactly what I would have envisioned myself. Lots of extra detailing from the flakes, shimmer and glitter. Nice smooth application with just two coats needed for coverage.

Different Dimension I Am Not Throwing Away My Shot
Two coats
Metallic brown linear holographic with copper and gold shimmer and gold micro-flakes
Inspired byHamilton
I have not had the pleasure of seeing Hamilton but picturing the show-bill and costuming, this inspired polish fits well. I love metallic holos and the golden brown coloring is oh so tasty. Slightly thicker formula and over-all easy application with two coats.

(Under LED Lighting)

Glisten & Glow Bend & Snap
Two coats
Punch pink with coral undertones linear holographic polish with glistening platinum flakes and and scattered turquoise flakes
Inspired byLegally Blonde
As with the Wicked inspired polish, could you have any other color but pink for this "Legally Blonde" polish? Nope! I stand firm on that. This is an understated but still quite saturated punch pink and I like how the platinum flakes glint in the base. No issues with formula or application.

Cadillacquer Sing Once Again With Me
Three coats
Silver linear holographic with red shimmer and small red and black glitter
Inspired by: Phantom of the Opera
I have to confess that I hate the musical and story of Phantom of the Opera. It's....just not for me. BUT! This is a lovely and sparkly polish, and ties in well with the inspiration, so regardless if you are fan of the musical or not, I think many will appreciate its beauty. It is a bit more sheer in formula,  three coats got me the opacity I have shown here.

The Holo Hookup April 2017 Box: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! For today, I have April's Holo Hookup Box to share. Along with polishes from Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow, this month's guest maker is Delush Polish. The theme is 'Bucket List' with the inspiration pic below:

The April 2017 Holo Hookup Box will be available during a week long pre-order window from March 21st at 9 pm EST until March 28th at 9 pm EST only in the Holo Hookup shop

The box is $40 plus shipping which will be available domestically and internationally.

Cupcake Polish Go Parasailing With Me
Two coats
Poppy red linear holographic
Such a bright and saturated shade of red! It leans slightly orange (which is my favorite kind of red) and applies super easily with two coats.

(Under LED Lighting)

Different Dimension The Northern Lights Are Out
Two coats
Violet to green multi-chrome linear holo with holo micro-flakes
Going in a completely different direction than the Cupcake Polish, this one is dark beauty is a nice contrast. It's flashes of green are awesome, those flashes are little more visible in person. Nice opaque coverage again with two coats for opacity.

(Under LED Lighting)

Glisten & Glow A Little More Altitude
Two coats
Light lilac linear holographic with flashes of blue and purple shimmer and silver holo micro-glitter
I like the softness of the lilac color with the added sparkle from the shimmer and glitter bits. This is slightly thicker in formula but otherwise easy to apply. I do recommend a double layer of topcoat due to the micro-glitter.

Delush Polish Keep an Ocean Mind
Three coats
Turquoise linear holographic with flashes of blue and teal
Beautiful! I love this sort of water reminiscent turquoise shade, especially when it's a holo. It's a little less opaque than the previous three, I needed three coats for coverage.

The Holo Hookup March 2017 Box: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey all! I have the Holo Hookup Box for March today Along with polishes from Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow, the guest maker for this month is Ever After Polish. The theme is 'Women Stamped In History' with the inspiration pic below:

The March 2017 Holo Hookup Box will be available during a week long pre-order window from February 21st at 9 pm EST until February 28th at 9 pm EST only in the Holo Hookup shop

The box is $40 plus shipping which will be available domestically and internationally.

Cupcake Polish Susan B Anthony
Two coats
Bright blue linear holographic with holo micro-glitter
So deeply blue and with the added glitter, this is seriously one killer polish. It has a very opaque formula that goes on easily in two coats.

(Under LED Lighting)

Different Dimension Amelia Earhart
Two coats
Brick red linear holographic with added flakes
The perfect brick red color, at least to me. The flakes are subtle here, but they do add some complexity. Application was easy, no surprise and opaque in two coats.

(Under LED Lighting)

 Glisten & Glow Eleanor Roosevelt
Two coats
Light army green linear holographic with purple/blue shifting flakes and red holo glitter
Not your usual green but I like that! It has some contrast from the flakes and you see the sparks of red glitter. Thinner style formula but still opaque.

(Under LED Lighting)

 Ever After Louisa May Alcott
Two coats
Light beige nude with pink flash
For me, it's all about that pink flash of color in the taupe base. I lust for exactly that sort of polish. Full opacity in two coats and over-all nice application experience.
