Color Club Beyond, Eternal Beauty, and Cosmic Fate

These are the newest Spring 2013 Halo Hues holographic polishes. Beyond is a very pigmented black holo, much more than my non dud bottle of Revvvolution. I don't know how it holds up against Jade Magic Negra, I will have to wear them together one sunny afternoon. Eternal Beauty is a bright purple holo and while it's very pretty, Wild at Heart still holds it's place as my favorite purple holo polish. Cosmic Fate is OMFG, holo as can possibly be. It probably has to do with the copper color itself but it is much more holographic than the other two polishes. Cosmic Fate is my favorite of all the new Color Club Halo Hues.

Color Club Harp On It and Cherubic

Harp On It and Cherubic are part of Color Club's Halo Hues collection. These were released a while ago but I only recently bought them along with some of the newer colors. I want to say that Harp on It is just a little shy of being as holo as Urban Outfitters Silver Hologram but still, it really shows off that holo flame. Much better than Color Club's previously released silver holographic polish Worth the Risque. Cherubic is a lovely tan holo polish, a nice neutral with a twist that would be appropriate for most office environments  Both of these applied very easily without any sort of aqua base.

Urban Outfitters Green and Silver Hologram

I picked up bottles of Green and Silver Hologram polishes from Urban Outfitters some time ago and finally got the chance to wear them one bright and sunny weekend. Not much to say about these except WOW, these are holo! Very easy application, no special aqua base is needed and they dry very quickly. I wish the colors were more unique, especially for the price ($10, ouch) but otherwise these are pretty awesome holographic polishes.

Layla Hologram Effect Misty Blush

Layla holographic polishes have a lot of praise but it's with good reason. Though they do require a aqua-base to start off with, they apply very easily and their holo flame is so dramatic. Misty Blush is a color that is uncommon with holographic polishes, that alone makes it worth buying. Okay, no more raving, on to the pics...

Layla Misty Blush can be purchased online through Amazon, Ninja Polish, and Aveyou. I'm sure they will pop up in stores at Ulta but I don't know when. 

Jade Holográfico Vermelho Surreal

Jade is a Brazilian brand and they have a line of holographic polishes. The range of colors has the usual suspects of black and silver but also include a gold, a bubblegum pink, a teal and this one, Vermelho Surreal, a beautiful red. I liked the look of it solo but I wanted to get a darker red. This is one coat of black polish and one coat of Vermelho Surreal and the color is darkened, almost to the shade of a Garnet. No special base is needed, the polish applies smoothly without dragging. I used my normal Seche Vite as a top coat and it did not dull the holo one bit. 

The bottles of the Jade polishes are smaller (8 ml) compared to Layla (10 ml) and Nfu-Oh (17 ml) but they are also a bit cheaper. And not having to use a special buffer or aqua base is definitely worth noting.

I will keep this simple since I am always awkward when introducing myself. My name is Ida and I love nail polish. I wanted to have a place to post my polish pictures, so along with the many nail polish blogs that are out there, here is my contribution. Since I love music, comedy podcasts, reading, TV, really anything pop culture related, I will be posting a Book/TV show/Movie/Podcast/Music of the week as well.

To start things off, here is one of my absolute favorite polishes. It's blue! And holographic! One of the few polishes in my stash that has a backup, and though it is harder to track down now, if you can find it, get it.
