Different Dimension for Crystal's Charity Lacquers: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi y'all! I have some polishes today from Different Dimension to share. These should have been posted about long ago but work and life have got in the way. These three polishes were created for Crystal's Charity Lacquers, which is a Facebook group founded by Crystal Weber.

Crystal has been working with indie polish brands to create custom or one of a kind polishes that are sold or fund-raised for giveaways, with all the proceeds being donated to various charity organizations. If you haven't already joined Charity Lacquers' Facebook group, you definitely should check it out.

The charity this month is the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society.  Crystal named the polishes in a way that reflects the cause but also a bit cheeky like her mom.

“This is a charity that is very close to my heart as my mom has MS ad has battled the disease for more than 30 years.  I have grown up watching this illness slowly (and sometimes quickly) take away aspects of life that most of us take for granted.  The ability to stand, to walk, to feed yourself.  The ability to scratch an itch.  To push your hair out of your eyes.  These are just a small sample of day to day activities that most of us take for granted that MS has taken from my mom.” – Crystal

This trio is available for just one more day, today, May 26th in Different Dimension's shop!

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Terrible Twos Anniversary Trio: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey everyone! I have three new polishes from Lollipop Posse Lacquer today. These three polishes are part of the Terrible Twos Anniversary Trio, created to celebrate Lollipop Posse's 2nd year anniversary (YAY!).

The inspiration comes from one of Karen's favorite literary characters: Delirium, from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" graphic novels. Delirium is the youngest of the seven Endless, beings who are neither gods nor mortals, but have existed since the dawn of time. Delirium is abstract, lost, naive, and wise, and embodies a chaotic state of being that we've all experienced at one time or another.

The colors are varied and absolutely stunning. I had no issues to report with application or formula. And on a personal note, I have loved seeing the progression of Karen's brand and am excited to see what the future brings!

The Terrible Twos Anniversary Trio is available now in Lollipop Posse Lacquer's shop

Lollipop Posse Lacquer One Hundred and Eleven Fish

The Holo Hookup May 2017 Box: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey y'all! For today, I have June's Holo Hookup Box to share. Along with polishes from Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow, this month's guest maker is Anonymous Lacquer. The theme is 'Famous and Failed' with the inspiration pic below (this theme, LOL):

The June 2017 Holo Hookup Box is available now via a week long pre-order window from May 21st at 9 pm EST until May 28th at 9 pm EST only in the Holo Hookup shop

The box is $40 plus shipping which will be available domestically and internationally.

Cupcake Polish Brad & Angelina
Two coats
Dark navy blue linear holographic
Dark and stormy blue, just as, I would imagine Brad and Angelina's relationship to be. Very pigmented, with barely two coats needed for coverage.

Dimension Kristen & Rob
Two coats
Emerald green linear holographic with gold galaxy micro-glitters and gunmetal micro-flakes
I always felt like Kristen and Rob's relationship was too manufactured and not really a legit thing but maybe I am totally off base with that. Regardless, this is a gorgeous green, especially with the glitter and flakes, and goes on easily in two coats.

Glisten & Glow Amber & Kanye
Two coats
Antiqued golden linear holographic polish loaded with gold shimmer, gold bronze, and copper flakes with a dusting of gold holo microglitters
Hmmm, pretty sure Amber is better off now, considering how much we know about Kanye. Still, you can bask in this golden goodness, again, easy to apply in two coats.

Anonymous Lacquer Britney & Justin
Two coats
Stoned washed denim blue holographic
That matching jumpsuit look will haunt Britney and Justin FOREVER. This polish though is a much better rendition of denim blue, with slight silvered feel. Slightly more thin in consistency but two coats still for coverage.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Tiki Collection plus Love Letter to Hemingway: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! I have a new post today from Scofflaw Nail Varnish, in the form of a mini spring set, the Tiki Collection.

Formula Notes:
The Tiki Collection is inspired by classic tiki cocktail drinks. In addition to the six polishes in the Tiki Collection, Scofflaw will also be releasing a limited edition polish that was inspired by Finch's favorite drink, the Hemingway Daiquiri.

The polishes in the set are crelly formula polishes with glitter and shimmer and are classic Scofflaw. For the most part, I applied two coats for all but two of the polishes and had no issue with application. That said, I applied with a heavier hand, if you tend to apply thinner style coats, you may find needing three coats for the majority. A couple are a bit on the thick side formula wise but again, not an issue with application. Because of the crelly/glitter nature, I do recommend a double layer of topcoat smooth, glassy finish. Overall, I love how this collection played out, the fun and oh so good inspiration plus the colorful and unique colors all make me happy.

The Tiki Collection, plus Love Letter to Hemingway, will be released on Friday May 19th at 7 pm CST  (that's tonight!) in Scofflaw's shop.
