Ever After Dream & Great Lakes Lacquer Shiner Duo Collaboration: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey you guys! (Did anyone hear that in a Goonies' voice?) I have polishes today from Ever After Polish and Great Lakes Lacquer. These two brands teamed up for a collaboration set that will debut at Polish Con NYC 2017 this Saturday April 29th, the polishes will be available at a later date but that info is TBD right now. Along with the two polishes, included in the set will be Ever After Sparkle, apple scented cuticle crelly that will come in a 2 oz jar.

Ever After Dream
Two coats
Cool pool blue with shifting blue to pink/purple shimmer
So lovely! The shimmer really makes this such a dreamy blue. It's a little on the sheer side, I did have opaque enough coverage in two coats but you may find that three coats works better, depending on your nail length, etc.

Great Lakes Lacquer Shine
Two coats
Delicate but bold pink with undertones of blue with a strong linear holo
A beautiful contrast with this pink to the blue Ever After Polish. I like the added holo, it adds some extra sparkle both in and out of the sun. Easy application, with just two coats needed for opacity.

The Holo Hookup March 2017 Box: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey all! I have the Holo Hookup Box for March today Along with polishes from Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow, the guest maker for this month is Ever After Polish. The theme is 'Women Stamped In History' with the inspiration pic below:

The March 2017 Holo Hookup Box will be available during a week long pre-order window from February 21st at 9 pm EST until February 28th at 9 pm EST only in the Holo Hookup shop

The box is $40 plus shipping which will be available domestically and internationally.

Cupcake Polish Susan B Anthony
Two coats
Bright blue linear holographic with holo micro-glitter
So deeply blue and with the added glitter, this is seriously one killer polish. It has a very opaque formula that goes on easily in two coats.

(Under LED Lighting)

Different Dimension Amelia Earhart
Two coats
Brick red linear holographic with added flakes
The perfect brick red color, at least to me. The flakes are subtle here, but they do add some complexity. Application was easy, no surprise and opaque in two coats.

(Under LED Lighting)

 Glisten & Glow Eleanor Roosevelt
Two coats
Light army green linear holographic with purple/blue shifting flakes and red holo glitter
Not your usual green but I like that! It has some contrast from the flakes and you see the sparks of red glitter. Thinner style formula but still opaque.

(Under LED Lighting)

 Ever After Louisa May Alcott
Two coats
Light beige nude with pink flash
For me, it's all about that pink flash of color in the taupe base. I lust for exactly that sort of polish. Full opacity in two coats and over-all nice application experience.

October 2016 Awesomesauce Box: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! For today, I have a collaboration box to share with you all. This is the Lisa Frank inspired Awesomesauce Box, featuring polishes from Anonymous Lacquer, Ever After Polish, Different Dimension, and Lavish Polish. In addition to those four polishes, there will also be a few extras, including water slide decals from Green Goddess Creations, a large rainbow nail file, a little bag of neon start glitter and a cuticle balm sample (mine was Rum Butter but I don't know if the scents will be varied or all the same). I grew up at what I think is the height of Lisa Frank's popularity in the late 90's so I definitely owned my share of Lisa Frank items. The bright colors, both from the polishes and the extras evoked the playful and fun spirit that came with Lisa Frank.

The October Awesomesauce Box will be available as a pre-order from October 7th at 8 pm EST until next week, October 15th in the Awesomesauce Box shop! The full size set will be $40 plus shipping and a mini set listed as well.

Anonymous Lacquer Dream Like a Unicorn
Two coats
Indigo blue/purple linear holographic with subtle purple shimmer
A beautiful and deep, bold blue with super easy application, barely needing two coats for coverage.

(Under LED Light)

Different Dimension Stargazer
Three coats
Clear base with silver holographic micro-glitter plus white and neon matte glitter
I love this holo glitter-bomb! I added on the stars from the bag that was included in the box and the extra pop of bright color is...wait for it... awesome. While it is a full coverage glitter, you will need a few coats for complete coverage, I have it shown in three. Plus a double layer of topcoat to have that smooth shiny finish.

(Under LED Light)

Ever After Polish Let's Be Frank
Two coats
Bubblegum pink scattered holographic with iridescent shimmer
A juicy pink and I love how you see flashes of pink/violet/blue from the iridescent shimmer. Slightly thicker formula which applies easily, this is two coats for opacity.

(Under LED Light)

Lavish Polish Chasing Rainbows
Three coats
Orchid purple holographic with blue fleck shimmer
A warmer, lighter toned purple that is oh so nice. The holo is not super dense, think a scattering of sparkle rather than a tight holo flame. The formula is a thinner consistency, you could have coverage in two coats but for me, three was better.

Color4Nails Pun with Pokémon Collaboration Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! For today I have a new collaboration collection from Color4Nails that will be releasing soon. For this six polish set, Color4Nails teamed up with six brands who each created a polish inspired by a Pokémon character, the six makers include Cadillacquer, Celestial Cosmetics, Delush Polish, Different Dimension, Ever After Polish, and Nine Zero Lacquer.

I think the brands did a great job with the collection, you can totally see where the inspiration plays into the colors and the pun-tastic names are the cherry on top. Look for this set to be released Friday, October 7th in Color4Nails' shop. The polishes will be available as a set as well as individually, but I know for those Pokémon fans, gotta catch 'em all!

Cadillacquer Wishing Upon a Staryu
Three coats
Red jelly base with gold flakes and glitter
So bright and saturated, yum. Goes on well, not too thick or thin in formula though because of it's jelly base, I needed three coats for opacity.

Celestial Cosmetics Judge, Jury, and Exeggcute-tioner
Two coats
Dusky light rose pink with silver shimmer and holographic pigment
A nicely done, lighter toned pink holo. It's a shimmer/pigment heavy polish, so slightly on the thicker side but application was easy with two thin coats. The holo effect is more a scattered density variety.

Delush Polish Bad to the Cubone
Three coats
Black base with gold shimmer and off white and golden glitter
I love how this takes on an olive, or antiqued gold, look with the addition of that heavy gold shimmer. There are some circle glitter pieces that didn't end up on the nail though I do see them in the bottle, my recommendation is to let the bottle sit upside down for a few minutes before applying so you can get those on the nail. Otherwise, application was good, I used three thinner coats for opaque coverage.

Different Dimension Don't Be Tentacruel
Two coats
Medium sky blue linear holographic
Application for this was so so easy, two coats with no clean up needed. Different Dimension is a brand that I can rely on to have a good consistent application for her holo polishes and this was no different. The color is very pretty and the holo is a medium density one.

Ever After Polish Pikachu, I See You
Three coats
Dusky buttercup yellow linear holographic with pink/orange shimmer
With a Pokeman inspired set, there had to be a yellow! And this is a verry nice one. I love the added shimmer, it brightens up the dusky yellow shade. It's on the sheer side, this is three thin coats and I still had a bit of visible nail line. When I re-wear this again, I will likely add a ridge builder base coat.

Nine Zero Happily Eevee After
Two coats
Copper linear holographic
Ohhhh yes. I love metallic looking holographic polishes and this is gorgeous! Nicely opaque with two coats and as I would expect of a metallic polish, there are some visible brushstrokes but they are not super obvious.
