Random Friday Spam

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Barielle Decadence
Two coats and can be purchased here
My favorite Barielle polish, I love this teal.

Chanel Taboo
Two coats and can be purchased here or here
The blue sparkle is there, I swear! Much prettier in real life than my photo suggests.

Illamasqua Cameo
Two Coats and can be purchased here
HOLY CRAP is this awesome or what?! I love this periwinkle creme, so very much.

Kiko #383 Oil Blue
Two coats and is accessible at Kiko stores in Europe
Pretty but kinda forgettable Kiko

Kunimitsu Red Empress
Two coats and can be purchased here
The red glitter and shimmer contrast really well against the lilac base.

OPI Jinx
Two coats and can be purchased wherever OPI is available in your area
I wish all the Liquid Sand polishes were as fantastic as this, because well, just look at it!
I think I prefer the gritty finish over the glossy look.

OPI Jinx
This is with two generous layers of topcoat

Savina Purple Pansy
Two coats and can be purchased here
Repeat (but better) pic of this indigo neon.
Despite the problematic formula, I can help but be drawn to this color.

.
Takko Lacquer Blushing Nude
Three coats and can be purchased here
I could not stop looking at my nails when I wore this.
The nude is pretty much perfect, especially that pink flash that runs throughout.

OPI Wednesday

OPI, my first polish love. You began my polish habit as a young muggle with a dark vamp (have no idea which one) and have seen me through many years of polish purchases and collections. I still think that many of the names are stupid but that is a minor detail.

And that's my ode to OPI. Here are some random OPI polishes to for your Wednesday viewing pleasure.

OPI Diva of Geneva
Classic OPI color and was a perfect base for a color shifting topcoat.

OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest
Full disclosure, I think I hate this photo, the lighting that day was NOT working out for me and the very cool shimmer fell flat in the sunlight.

OPI German-icure by OPI
What I consider the sister polish to Oktoberfest above. The are both vampy shimmers but completely different in tone. Oktoberfest is purple and German-icure has the rusty red color I love.

OPI Glacier Bay Blues
A bit of a disappointment in all honesty. I should have followed suggestions to layer it over black but I wanted to see how it would look solo.

OPI Grape Set Match
Super pretty glass fleck polish. The blue flash gives it a twist to differentiate from all the others.

OPI Love is a Racket
A hot hot HOT red! Perfect pedi color.

OPI Oy-Another Polish Joke
I was afraid that this would look to brassy but it's just pale enough of a gold to avoid that. I have seen pics of this layered over another color (like here, here and here) and I will have to pull this out again to try that.

OPI You’re Such a BudaPest
Lovely periwinkle purple, one of my favorite colors from the Euro Centrale collection.

My Ten Friends Assortment

My Ten Friends is a newer indie brand for me but one that caught my eye and wouldn't let go. So here are some My Ten Friends polishes that I've worn recently.

My Ten Friends Astrochicken
Three coats and then a layer of matte top coat
Doesn't this look exactly like a Denver Omelet? Those red and green "peppers" look yummy.
With a name like Astrochicken, eggs were the first thing that came to my mind.

My Ten Friends Attack Ships on Fire
Three coats
Most definitely my favorite of the bunch, the contrast between the orange and blue against the gold is amazing.

My Ten Friends Close Encounters
Three coats
Again, the contrast of the black and gold against the plum purple is just great. I think that this theme of unique color combination is something that draws me to My Ten Friends line.

My Ten Friends Goldilocks Planet
 Two coats
The yellow green is light and the bright blue glitter is a wonderful touch.

My Ten Friends Pew! Pew! Pew!
Two coats layered over Rescue Beauty Lounge 360
More sheer than the others, 360 is as close the base color that I could match to.

My Ten Friends polishes are available in her Etsy shop here. For international buyers, they are available at Overall Beauty and Femme Fatale. Updates and more information can be found on My Ten Friends' Facebook page, website and twitter.

Butter London Monday

Happy Monday everyone! Let's start the week off right with some Butter London polishes. And a reminder that if you haven't entered the Crows Toes Spring This giveaway, do so here, I will be contacting the winner sometime tomorrow.

Butter London Lillibet's Jubilee
Lavender foil, a unique color.
I had lemmed this one for so long and was lucky enough to grab it on a blog sale.
I don't know if this is available any longer though.

Butter London Scuppered
Very appropriate for a fall collection with the copper color and green flecks.

Butter London Swinger
Oh this is a fun one. I like how yellow the green leans.
Similar enough to Orly Here Comes Trouble that I purged the Orly and kept Swinger.

Butter London Trustafarian
Scattered yellow green. I liked this but didn't love it.

Butter London Slapper
I have a love/hate relationship with teal polishes.
I think it is when they are dusky that I dislike teals.
This one though is bright and I couldn't make myself purge it.

Butter London Sprog
Awesome periwinkle creme, similar to Illamasqua Cameo but Cameo is a bit darker.

Butter London Polishes can be purchased at multiple locations, including Nordstrom, Ulta, Sephora, and Butter London's website.

Happy Revolution Project Badass

The people who know me well, they get a front row viewing of my deep abiding love for certain shows. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is one of the shows. Sure the characters are immoral and crazy but that's what makes for hilarious writing and the potential for amazing scenarios and quotes. So when I learned that Happy Hands and Polish Revolution, already two very cool indie polish brands, were collaborating on a It's Always Sunny inspired polish collection, well, this was my reaction:

Yes, pure dancing excitement! Taking a page from Accio Lacquer I decided that I would have to combine my love of gifs and It's Always Sunny in one post. Formula wise, these are pretty dang great. Three coats are needed for the majority due to the jelly base in the polishes.

Happy Revolution Aluminum Monster
Sweet Dee looking like the loveliest lady ever:
source
Two coats layered over American Apparel Moonlight Beach
Black jelly with teal shimmer and teal, silver, and gold holo glitter
The shimmer is oh so visible. The one could be worn solo but you will get more of an impact layering over a darker color.

Happy Revolution Flip Flip Flipadelphia
Better known as the competition to end all drinking competitions

Three coats
Gray jelly with red, gunmetal and silver glitter
The colors work well together and all I could hear when I wore this was "Flip, Flip, Flipadelphia!"

Happy Revolution Green Man
Charlie's alter ego:

Three coats
Bright green jelly with neon and lime green glitter.
This is much brighter in person and makes me want to go and find my own green suit to match my nails.

Happy Revolution Kitten Mittens
Is Your Cat Making TOO MUCH NOISE all the time?
source
Three coats
White jelly with black, white, pale pink and baby blue glitters
A little streaky with this one but not unusual with white polishes. Despite that, I think this one is my favorite of the collection.

Happy Revolution Night Crawlers
Just a game between two friends and why yes, that is a giant box of wine being poured into soda cans.
source
Three coats
Wine red jelly with red micro glitter, matte gray, silver, and gunmetal glitters
LOVE this polish, the wine red just makes me want to drink it down. lol, I will restrain myself from doing so.

Happy Revolution Rum Ham
Only the best way to get drunk and eat delicious ham.
source
Three coats
Pink jelly with copper, pink, brown, pineapple yellow and cherry red glitters.
This is a pink I can get behind. The choice of glitter colors prevents this from being too baby pink sweet.

Happy Revolution Champion of the Sun
Charlie's masterpiece in video form.
Listen to it once and you will be singing Champion of the Sun, well, like a champion.
Three coats
Pale yellow jelly with orange, yellow and gold glitter.
A very sunny and happy polish.

Happy Revolution The Nightman Cometh
A journey into the mind of a simple man who just wants a waitress' love
source
Two coats layered over Dior Amazonia
Clear base with black, lime, gold and white glitters.
This is such a unique glitter blend, my favorite of the collection following Kitten Mittens

I wanted to see how The Nightman Cometh would look over both dark and light polishes so here is another look.
Two coats layered over Sation Loudest Color

I hoped you liked seeing these polishes as much as I enjoyed wearing them. Kudos to both Happy Hands and Polish Revolution for first creating a well thought out It's Always Sunny inspired collection. As a fan of the show, I can totally see how each polish was inspired and where the references came from.

Polishes from the Happy Revolution Project Badass collection can be purchased from Happy Hands shop OR Polish Revolution's shop.
