Crows Toes Bad Catholic from the March A Box, Indied.

Good morning! I have a new Crows Toes polish to share with you all today. Bad Catholic is going to be released within March's A Box, Indied. A Box, Indied is a monthly box that is sold through Llarowe. Each month has a central theme and will include 5 polishes or nail products from 11 rotating indie brands. March's theme is Mardi Gras and will include products from Crows Toes, Contrary Polish, Hare Polish, Glisten and Glow, and Girly Bits. I believe Llarowe has already posted photos for each product that will be included in March's box, check their Facebook page for more info.

Bad Catholic, well with Crows Toes, the polish names are half the fun. And with a name like that the visual I get is of someone partying too hard on Fat Tuesday and waking up hungover and maybe just a little too late for Ash Wednesday morning mass. They may be covered in beads galore but gosh darn it, they earned them!

Bad Catholic is a polish filled to the brim with gold, green, and purple glitter, all reminiscent of Mardi Gras colors, in a clear base. Within each photo below, I applied one full coat over a colored base and then just dabbed a little more to cover any blank areas. I wanted to give you two looks, over a light base as well as over a dark base, so I went with two of my favorite polishes to layer with, American Apparel Cotton and Night Sky.

Bad Catholic will only be available by purchasing March's A Box, Indied from Llarowe and it will be available Febuary 26th. Make sure to follow Crows Toes on Facebook and Instagram for updates, as well as Llarowe on Facebook.

Elevation Polish The Patagonia Collection

Happy Friday! I have Elevation Polish's newest collection, The Patagonia Collection, just in time for tonight's Febuary 7th restock. I loooooooved this collection, the cremes applied perfectly (the norm at this point for Elevation), we got a shimmer that is dark and mysterious, and a holo topper that is unlike any other holo polish in my collection. It's a collection like The Patagonia Collection that reinforces my loyalty to Elevation Polish. You can pick these up for yourself tonight at 9 pm CST in Elevation's shop.

Elevation Polish Cuernos del Paine
Two coats
Pale mint creme
This is a bright mint, very light and crisp looking. I am a sucker for this type of color and this one is a great addition to my mint polish collection. The brightness of the color though makes it unique, most of my other mint polishes look dull compared to Cuernos del Paine.

Elevation Polish Tronador
Two coats
Dark grape purple jelly with pink and gold flake shimmer
This is a little thick formula-wise but not problematic. You could get away with one coat, it's that saturated but I prefer to apply two. It is very dark and the shimmer, while not hidden, comes alive in the right lighting. And the name, Tronador, it just rrrrrrrrrrolls off the tongue, don't you think?

Elevation Polish Cerro Torre 2
Two coats
Nude creme
Cerro Torre was originally released Feburary 2012 but was retired. Cerro is one of my absolute favorite nude polishes, and I was very sad to see it retired. But this reformulated version is even better, at least formula wise. It applies like most of Elevation's cremes, oh so well, and is just so pretty in it's neutral-ness. I loved the original Cerro just so much and absolutely adore Cerro Torre 2. Do you need both? Probably not, but I do.

Comparison of Elevation Polish Cerro Torre and Cerro Torre 2
Original Cerro Torre is on my middle and pinkie finger and new Cerro Torre 2 is on my index and ring finger.
As you can see, there is a slight difference in coloring, Cerro 2 is a tad more cool and lighter, original Cerro leans more yellow. Original Cerro has a thinner formula so I was able to get full coverage in three coats but with Cerro 2 I only applied two coats, the formula is smoother and more opaque.

Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery
Layered over Elevation Polish Cerro Torre 2
Topper that has pink, gold, and charcoal flake shimmer and lots of holographic pigment.
It is such a versatile holo topper, I applied this so many polishes since receiving it and it looked good over each one. The flakes though, they really are showcased over a pale color like Cerro Torre 2.

*note* I was not able to get get a direct sunlight photo of Aguja to show off it's holo-ness. The time of the year, it's very hit or miss with the sun, and this last week, it has been miss. Ashley from Ashley is Polish Addicted was able to get some sun shots of Aguja, so make sure to see her post.

Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery
Layered over Elevation Polish Tronador
Goodness gracious, Aguja is stunning over Tronador, this is where the holo pigment stands out most.

Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery
Layered over Elevation Polish Alpine Heights
And for my final look, I applied Aguja over Alpine Heights. The dark green base is so very pretty under Aguja, the gold flakes pop against it.

This collection will become available tonight, Friday, Febuary 7th at 9 pm CST in Elevation Polish's shop. Make sure to check out Elevation's blog and Instagram for updates. Llarowe carries select Elevation Polish's as well and those can be found here.

Scofflaw Limited Edition Thursday

Hey everyone! I am back from my weekend (and recovery from my weekend lol) and have a few limited edition Scofflaw Nail Varnish's for you all. The first two are unfortunately not available any longer for public sale but the third one posted below is a new one that will be available this week! Scofflaw is going to be restocking her shop this Friday, Feb 7th, at 8 pm CST, and Love Letter from Scofflaw will be available to purchase as a pre-order from 8 pm to 9 pm CST. Yay, more LE Scofflaw's for everyone! She is now shipping directly to Canada and other international brands look to her stockists, Mei Mei's Signatures and Rainbow Connection, to get Love Letter from Scofflaw later this year.

Scofflaw Just Another Candy Cane Polish
Three coats
White jelly base with specks of red, white, holo silver glitter and slight silver shimmer.
LE Black Friday release
A holiday themed polish but subtle enough to make it something wearable year around. Not that I wouldn't wear a in-your-face holiday polish in the middle of summer, just you know, it's a nice bonus.

Scofflaw Love Letter to Jacques Cousteau
Two coats
Dusky teal creme with a touch of blue/violet shimmer.
LE Black Friday release
I can not think of a better color than this as an ode to Jacques Cousteau, it is a lovely representation of the sea that he loved and explored. And the touch of shimmer added gives this Scofflaw a pretty accent.

Scofflaw Love Letter From Scofflaw
Two coats
Black base with silver shimmer and sparks of red and pink.
I have a confession. I usually avoid Valentine's Day themed collections and polishes. While I love red and purple and am slowing coming around to pink, most of the time polishes released this time of the year don't appeal to me. I need something....different. And that's exactly what this is, a stand out among the crowd. The shimmer is intense and the red and pink sparks catch your eye. I highly recommend ordering this while you can!

Scofflaw Nail Varnish is available through her shop, Rainbow Connection, Femme Fatale Cosmetics, and soon through Mei Mei's Signatures. Updates can be found on her Facebook page, website, and Instagram.
