Hey everyone! I have some more Black Dahlia Lacquer polishes for today. These six polishes are a part of her Holo Petals Collection and all have shimmer/glitter linear holographic finish. These are on the thick side, so I would recommend applying thin coats. They are opaque though, I just needed two coats for coverage.

Fair Maiden Polish Thursday: Swatches and Review

Purchased by Me
Hey guys! I have another new-to-me brand to share with you today. Fair Maiden Polish is a the creation of two ladies, Sarah and Adrienne, who are based out of Minnesota. I purchased these way back in November during their Black Friday sale and as it usually happens, this post kept getting pushed back with review posts needing to be published. Well no more pushing back!

I like Fair Maiden's brand aesthetic very much, the square bottles and their brand logo, all of that makes me happy. I feel like the polish colors come off as very lady like, or maybe that's just what I ended up being drawn toward when I shopped. Formula wise, they were good, more on the thin side then I prefer but nice application overall.

If you were interested in purchasing your own Fair Maiden Polishes, check out their shop here.

Fair Maiden Polish Once Upon a Dream
Three coats
Light pink creme with gold shimmer
Gold in pink always gets me.

Fair Maiden Polish Holiday 2014
Three coats
Magenta linear holographic
This was a gift with purchase during Black Friday last year and a very nice addition to my order.

Fair Maiden Polish Magic Carpet Ride
Three coats
Pale mint green with gold and pink flake shimmer
Another color weakness of mine and I like the ethereal feel of it.

Fair Maiden Polish Sleigh Bells In The Snow
Three coats
Silver/white shimmer with holo pigment
Light and delicate and falls in nicely with a winter collection.

Fair Maiden Polish Beauty Within
Three coats
Gray purple creme with pink flake shimmer
The shimmer is oh so nice in this and gives the gray/purple some interest.

Fair Maiden Polish Merry Plum Berry And Bright

Plum purple linear holographic
Who can resist a purple holo? Not I!

Black Dahlia Lacquer Leaf by Leaf Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! I have a new to me brand to share with you all today. Black Dahlia Lacquer is a brand based out of Central Texas and Deanna, with the help her daughter Aubrey, is creator. I have been eyeing Black Dahlia Lacquer for a few months now and as a fellow Austin resident, I jumped at the chance to try a local nail artisan.

I liked the polishes in this collection, they are colorful and bright and very spring like. I am actually missing one, or I should say I dropped and broke before I could get a proper photo of, Grey Twilight Organza, but Jen from xoxo, Jen, has the photos of that one if you wanted to take a look. Formula notes, everything applied okay, though some polishes required a more coats for coverage than others.

You can purchase the Leaf by Leaf Collection right now in both mini and full size polishes from Black Dahlia Lacquer's shop.

Black Dahlia Lacquer Dandelion Explosion
Two coats
Red/orange jelly with yellow, orange, and hot pink glitter
So juicy looking!

Black Dahlia Lacquer Glass Orchid
Three coats
Blue/green jelly with aqua and navy glitter
This one is more sheer than I preferred, with blue jelly polishes, if they are not opaque enough, stained nails can disclosure the polish color. But it's got amazing shine.

Black Dahlia Lacquer Grape Hyacinth
Two coats
Clear base with blue, aqua, violet, and silver micro-glitter and lavender shimmer.
I love full coverage micro-glitter polishes and this purple dominant one is lovely.

Black Dahlia Lacquer Rose Petals
Two coats
Raspberry pink creme with red/orange/gold glass fleck shimmer.
A classic color combination and perfect for any pink polish lover.

Black Dahlia Lacquer Speckled Lilac
Three coats
Pale lilac creme/jelly with mint, light blue, aqua, and periwinkle glitter.
More opaque than I was expecting, which is always a good thing. I like how delicate it looks.

Black Dahlia Lacquer Striped Peonies
Two coats
Plum purple creme with gold, blue. and rose micro-flake shimmer.
A very nice contrasting visible shimmer going on here.

Black Dahlia Lacquer Teal Hydrangea
Two coats
Mint teal creme/jelly
Like butter, that's how creamy this is.

Different Dimension The Villainess Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey everyone! More awesome from Different Dimension today in the form of her upcoming Villainess Collection. The 6 polishes in this set are inspired by female Disney villains and are all multi-chrome flakies with holo micro-glitter and sterling flakes. In other words, SPARKLE GALORE!

Regarding application, considering just how much goes into one of these polishes, they will be a little thick but so don't load up your brush. Otherwise, these applied easily and were opaque in three coats for me. I do recommend an additional layer of topcoat or my method of applying Gelous and then topcoat to get a nice smooth finish.

The Villainess Collection will be released tomorrow, Saturday April 18th at 9 pm EST, in Different Dimension's shop.

Different Dimension Saber That from May's A Box, Indied: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey guys! I have a new polish from Different Dimension to share with you today. This green polish is named Saber That and will be an exclusive of next month's A Box, Indied. The theme for May is May the Fourth Be With You and will include other polishes from Girly Bits, Glisten & Glow, Contrary Polish, and Colors by Llarowe. As with previous months, the box will be available only through Llarowe on April 26th, you can follow their Facebook page for more info.

Different Dimension Saber That
Three coats
Pale green creme with scattered holo shimmer and glow in the dark effect.
An awesome light saber green to be sure! The glow in the dark effect is strong but even without that, I like the uniqueness of the color and the added holo shimmer is a nice touch. The formula is on the thin side, which is why three coats works best and it will dry down with some texture but topcoat will smooth that out for you.

(Glow in the Dark!)
