Ever After Dream & Great Lakes Lacquer Shiner Duo Collaboration: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey you guys! (Did anyone hear that in a Goonies' voice?) I have polishes today from Ever After Polish and Great Lakes Lacquer. These two brands teamed up for a collaboration set that will debut at Polish Con NYC 2017 this Saturday April 29th, the polishes will be available at a later date but that info is TBD right now. Along with the two polishes, included in the set will be Ever After Sparkle, apple scented cuticle crelly that will come in a 2 oz jar.

Ever After Dream
Two coats
Cool pool blue with shifting blue to pink/purple shimmer
So lovely! The shimmer really makes this such a dreamy blue. It's a little on the sheer side, I did have opaque enough coverage in two coats but you may find that three coats works better, depending on your nail length, etc.

Great Lakes Lacquer Shine
Two coats
Delicate but bold pink with undertones of blue with a strong linear holo
A beautiful contrast with this pink to the blue Ever After Polish. I like the added holo, it adds some extra sparkle both in and out of the sun. Easy application, with just two coats needed for opacity.

Vapid Lacquer The Curiouser and Curiouser Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! I have a new set from Vapid Lacquer to share. These six polishes make her Curiouser and Curiouser Collection, inspired by Lewis Carroll's Tales of Wonderland. This collection will be released Saturday April 29th at 1 pm CST in Vapid Lacquer's shop. If you would like more release information, including what other products will be available or other swatches, I recommend joining the Vapid Lacquer Facebook group

Vapid Lacquer 6 Impossible Things
Two coats
Purple to blue to red multi-chrome with scattered holo pigment
HELLO LOVER. Yes that needed to be said in all caps. Nice fluid formula, a bit watery but still got me opaque coverage in two coats.

Vapid Lacquer I'm Late!
Layered over a dark purple creme
Blue to purple multichrome topper
This is a somewhat a frosty topper but not one that is full of bruskstrokes. It is not a subtle topper either, whatever you layer this over will have that nice blue to purple shift, I went with a medium purple base and I think this turned out nicely if I may so.

Vapid Lacquer Much Muchier
Two coats
Black base with aqua, green, blue and violet shift plus pink/purple/blue/gold ultra chrome flakes and scattered holo
Lots of goodness going on here with all those extra details but not fussy or over the top. Just...beautiful. Slightly thicker in formula and opaque in two coats.

Vapid Lacquer Nonsense
Two coats
Berry base with turquoise and purple shift plus micro-flakes and shimmer
Darkly vampy and lucious, that's what came to mind. Again, similar formula as the previous polish, a bit thicker in formula but not all difficult to work with or apply, opaque in two coats.

Vapid Lacquer Not All There Myself
Two coats
Rose pink with red to green shift and blue to violet to gold micro-flakes
I love the rosy pink coloring of this and though the shift is more subtle here, it adds extra gorgeous to the polish. Formula, is again, nice and easy to work with, two coats shown.

Vapid Lacquer Whooo Are Youuu
Two coats
Teal base with pink, purple, green and gold shift with holographic micro-flakes
Hot damn, this is stunning and this is coming from a fair-weather green polish fan. I think this will be a popular pick so grab this without hesitation.

Chaos & Crocodiles Once Upon a Unicorn Collection Continued: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! I have some new pretties from Chaos & Crocodiles today. These three polishes are a continuation of the Once Upon a Unicorn Collection. The original six of that collection was first released way back in 2015, here is my review of that set (my lighting was a whole different sort of set up).

Formula Notes:
The thing about Chaos & Crocodiles polishes is that they are so dang good, formula wise. I have yet to wear a holo or really any other finish, from this brand that is not super easy to put on. They have a nice consistency, not too thick or thin or watery and are each opaque in two coats and I barely had any clean up to do. They are creme based holo so while they are linear holo polishes, the holo flame is a medium density one. I love the dusky and soft but still saturated colors and they are a nice continuation of the original six OUaU set.

The Once Upon a Unicorn Collection 2017 will be available starting April 23rd in Chaos & Crocodiles' shop.

This will be a pre-order sale that runs from Sunday, April 23rd at 9 pm EDT to Tuesday, April 25th at 9 pm EDT. The original six Once Upon A Unicorn collection polishes will also be available.

Fair Maiden Polish Spring 2017 Pony Parade Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey y'all! For this Friday I have a new collection from Fair Maiden Polish. This five polish set is their Spring 2017 Pony Parade Collection, inspired by the vintage 1980's version of My Little Ponies

Formula Notes:
The colors are soft but still brighter shades, exactly what I would envision for a collection inspired by My Little Ponies. Each polish was inspired by the pony it was named after. Formula wise, you will see that each one is a subtle linear holographic with duo-chrome shimmer and extra holo sparks. When applying, they go on easily though they do have a thicker style formula that is opaque enough with two coats for each polish. I do love a cohesive color set, so I do think getting the collection as a whole is a nice balance of colors to have but if I had to pick a favorite, I would probably go with Moonstone.

The Pony Parade Collection will debut at Polish Con as well as online in Fair Maiden Polish's shop on April 29th.
