KBShimmer Fall 2016 Partial Collection - Poppy Kisses and The Best Mum Ever: Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! My blog posts for the next week may be sporadic (vacation time!) but until then, I still have a couple of posts to share. For today I have two polishes from KBShimmer's Fall 2016 Collection. I received a bag of samples from Cocktails & Colors event in Las Vegas, including these two from KBShimmer, and am slowly but surely getting to swatch those polishes. KBShimmer Poppy Kisses
Two coats
Orange toned red linear holographic
I LOVE this polish. I have more than a few red holos but am a red polish hoarder so is there really a thing as having too many? This is a lovely one to own though, it's got a orange tone to the color, giving it a fiery poppy red look. It applies really well, two coats for coverage and no clean up needed by me, with topcoat to finish. The holo density is a medium one, which is standard in my experience of KBShimmer holo polishes.

KBShimmer The Best Mum Ever

Two coats

Violet creme with pink/red micro-fleck shimmer

Such a pretty purple color and the shimmer is a nice compliment. It doesn't dry down to a texture but an additional layer of topcoat may be something you want to give a glass shine finish. It applies easily, though a little thicker in formula compared to the previous polish.

KBShimmer Color4Nails Exclusives: Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! For today I have a couple of new polishes from KBShimmer that will be exclusives to the Colo4Nails. KBShimmer What The Shell?

Two coats

Sandy taupe crelly with silver holographic micro-glitter and pink micro-flake shimmer

I really love how that pink flake shimmer shines through in the base. It was thicker in formula so I applied two thin coats but did not need more than that for coverage. The holo micro-glitter was a bit more visible in the bottle than on my nail but I did see the sparkle from them in the light. 

KBShimmer Berried In The Sand

Two coats

Berry pink linear holographic

Beautiful! The color is stunning and the holo pigment adds a metallic look to the polish. It practically glided on my nails, needing just two coats for coverage and the holo density is quite high.

KBShimmer Fall 2015 Collection (Partial): Swatches and Review

Hey guys! I have a Saturday review for you today. I received these four polishes from KBShimmer when I was in Las Vegas in July for Cosmo Prof and I finally have the chance to share with them with you now. These four are a part of their Fall 2015 Collection, which actually consists of 12 polishes. If you wanted to see what the other 8 polishes looked like, there are quite a few reviews, including Jenny of Lavish Layerings.

KBShimmer Breaking Blues
Two coats
Mid-tone periwinkle blue creme
I love this sort of blue shade, that has a lot of purple in the color. The formula for the creme was great, it had just the right consistency. 

KBShimmer I've Seen Sweater Days

Three coats

Light turquoise creme/jelly with blue, lime, and silver glitter

I love the pop of lime, it's adds a nice contrast to the cool blue coloring. Easy peasy application too. 

KBShimmer Open Toad Shoes

Two coats

Olive green creme/jelly with blue, lime, and burgundy glitter. 

This is definitely a unique and interesting polish, though if I am being honest, it's not a color that I would be drawn to. Still, I appreciate the over-color contrast with the muted olive and the bright bits of lime and navy. And the formula is wonderful, it practically applies itself. 

KBShimmer Soul Deep

Two coats

Dark indigo purple creme

This on the other hand, is always a color I am drawn toward. It's a very deeeeep shade of indigo purple and as with every other polish, great formula and issue-free application.

Good morning everyone! I have a handful of KBShimmer Polishes for today. These are a part of KBShimmer's Misfits collection, which consisted of one-offs or limited in number polishes that were not included in any other KBShimmer collection. This collection was released late June and I was lucky enough to grab these five. KBShimmer The Peach Pit

Three coats

Cream colored jelly with white, plum, and peach glitter. 

KBShimmer Electric Limeade

Three coats

Green leaning neon yellow with white and neon green glitter. 

Eye-searingly bright!

KBShimmer Field of Greens

Three coats

Grass green jelly with gold, blue, purple, pink and teal glitter. 

KBShimmer Grape to Meet You

Two coats

Dark grape purple jelly with purple, blue and white squares. 

Similar to KBShimmer The Square but the base color for this is more opaque, leans more cool in tone, and the glitter colors are less varied. 

KBShimmer Sun Spots

Three coats

Warm neon yellow with neon orange and red and white glitter. 

Compared to Electric Limeade, I like this more, the orange and red really pop against the yellow base.

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a good weekend. I was lucky enough to be off for 4 glorious days (Memorial day and such) so being back at work today is a bit ho hum. At least my nails look nice. Today I have a pretty big post spotlighting KBShimmer polishes. Blue green tinted base with teal, blue, purple and green glitters. Very oceanic.

White, purple, gold, blue, and teal square glitters in a purple tinted base.

A very square polish for a very square lady *pushes glasses back up* 

KBShimmer Toucan Touch This

Three coats

Very light lime creme base with gold, green, teal and orange glitter. 

Tropical theme at it's finest.

Bright blue creme base with blue, silver and fuchsia glitter.

Reminiscent of the night sky, this has a deep purple jelly base with small holo silver glitter.
