Sephora Formula X Monday

Hello readers! I have a few posts that are been kept on the back burner for a few weeks now so I am going to make sure they get published this week. The series of photos that I have this week were edited just a bit smaller than I usually size them., so I apologize for that.

Today I have a few polishes I picked up from Sephora a few months ago when they first released their new line, Sephora Formula X. I wasn't necessarily looking for a new base-coat or top-coat, so I didn't get any of those. But I was very happy to see such a large range of colors and finishes be released. I think I spent a good 20 minutes just browsing the selection when I first saw them in my local Sephora. And they are all moderately priced at $10 to $12.50 depending on the finish, a little spendy but not too much so, making a nice pick-me-up type polish.

Sephora Formula X Danger Zone
Two coats
Part of the Electrics
This one looked more coral in the bottle but ended up being a
bright neon pink with pink shimmer.
It was a little on the thick side and dried to a matte finish (not unusual with matte polishes).

Sephora Formula X Galaxy
Two coats
I didn't realize this one was a textured polish until I applied it. But it was a nice surprise, I really like the look of this navy textured polish, the gold shimmer gives it a nice detailing. It's darker and has less gold shimmer than OPI Alacatraz Rocks but they do look similar.

Sephora Formula X TNT
Layered over Sephora Formula X Galaxy
Yet another finish, this one a clear based topper with cobalt blue glitter in varied sizes. I want to mess around with this one, and see what other bases would compliment the blue glitter.

Sephora Formula X Kelvin
Two coats
Did I need another orange creme? No, but I could not resist. It looked so tempting in the packaging.
The cremes in the New Classics line were outstanding, two coats for each polish and high shine.

Sephora Formula X Pyrotechnic
Two coats
Cherry red creme and the creme formula is perfection.

Sephora Formula X Chaotic
Layered over Sephora Formula X Pyrotechnic
I bought this one to see how it would compare to Enchanted Polish Seven Nation Army. At first glance, it looks very similar, both are black and white glitter in a clear base with holo pigment. But the Enchanted wins over this one for me. Chaotic has larger pieces of glitter and the holo pigment is more subtle. Still, a very pretty topper and if you don't have Seven Nation Army, I would recommend getting this one.

Sephora Formula X Spark
Three coats
Sparkle galore with this one, with it's gold holo glitter in a light orange jelly base.
The jelly is more sheer but buildable.

Sephora Formula X Obessed
Two coats
Oh so vampy, this dark dark wine red jelly is another that has an awesome formula.

Sephora Formula X Thrilling
Two coats
Ahh! I love this one so. much. I can't explain why the most understated of all of these polishes is my favorite. I love a good neutral and this one applied so smoothly and is just cool enough for my skin tone.

Sephora Fomula X are released in specifically named lines within the brand, such as New Classics, Electrics, Holograms, etc. These all can be purchased online or at your local Sehora.

Pahlish One Last Bow Duo & Harlequin Doll

Happy Friday you guys! It actually snowed here in Central Texas last night so today I get to enjoy a snow day. Those don't come around too often here, but when it does happen, it's a nice free day. Continuing from yesterday, I have few more Pahlishes to show you guys today. Eleven's Hour is Over Now and The Clock is Striking Twelve's are paired together for Pahlish's January 2014 One Last Bow Duo. Harlequin Doll is unfortunaly not available any longer, it was a limited edition polish from December. The One Last Bow Duo is only available for the month of January and the last restock of it will be tonight in Pahlish's shop, so make sure to pick it up while you can!

Pahlish Eleven's Hour is Over Now
Two coats
Charcoal gray creme with lots of iridescent flakes in pink/purple/blue and silver shimmer
Very cool toned and I love that combination of flakes and shimmer that the dark base. It looks almost like a mineral or rock surface.

Pahlish The Clock is Striking Twelve's
Layered over Eleven's Hour is Over Now
Clear based topper of metallic and holographic gunmetal glitter as well as black, gray, and iridescent rainbow flakes.
BAM! Take the subtle look of Eleven's Hour and amps it up (to 11 one could say).

Pahlish Harlequin Doll
Two coats
Brown/plum holographic with gold shimmer
The color alone is unique and mysterious and the holo pigment is just enough to sparkle in the sun.

To purchase any of the polishes shown today, look to Pahlish's Big Cartel shop, and Facebook page, Blog, or Instagram for updates. Other stockists of Pahlish are Llarowe and Edgy Polish.

Pahlish All of Time and Space Part One Collection

Hello all! I am beyond excited to show you guys today's post. Pahlish recently released part one their All of Time and Space collection and it is a beautiful mix of colors and finishes, all inspired by the awesome that is Doctor Who.

Pahlish The Ghost Shift
Two coats

You will be upgraded.
Inspired by the cold cold Cybermen, this silver holo is a much more lively version.

Pahlish The Ghost Shift
In direct sunlight

Pahlish Bad Wolf
Two coats
Taupe with red/violet shimmer and flakes
Pahlish has created some very pretty taupe polishes and this one is another to add to that collection. The red/violet shimmer is just outstanding it that base.

Pahlish Forest of the Dead
Two coats
Where there's meat, there's Vashta Nerada.
Dark green jelly with copper metallic flakes and green duochrome shimmer.
Dark and murky and a much prettier interpretation of the Vashta Nerada.

Pahlish Lullaby Without End
Two coats
Coral red with slight shimmer and blue and orange glitter
Inspired by the Queen of YearS and her Long Song.
The red is bright and vivid and I absolutely love the contrasting blue.

Pahlish Mad Man with a Box
Two coats
Dark navy with metallic gold flakes and blue/green shimmer.
There have been quite a number of polishes inspired by Doctor Who and his Tardis but this one blows them all out of the water.

Pahlish So Not Married!
Two coats
Black jelly base with red shimmer and gold flakes
So. much. GLITTER! And Shimmer! It's lightens the black base a bit and makes this a totally unique polish. And it's inspired by my favorite companion, Donna, and her relationship status with the Doctor.

I now, officially, have a Facebook page set up for this blog! I hope you will "Like" me there, I plan on testing the waters soon.

Darling Diva Polish The White Witch Collection Part Two

Good morning! I have part two of Darling Diva Polish's White Witch Collection to share with you all today. Part one was posted yesterday here. While I ended up posting this collection in alphabetical order, the ones in today's post include my favorites of the collection. Nightbird is so deep and dark, I can't help but fall head over heels in love with it. Rooms on Fire was one that surprised me in how much I loved it, the color is very saturated. As I posted yesterday, I applied three coats of polish within each photo for maximum coverage and my regular topcoat.
