Silly Bee's Chickadees By a Lady Collection

Hello hello! I have a new collection from Silly Bee's Chickadees to share with you all today. The By a Lady collection is a trio of polishes inspired by Jane Austen and her legendary heroines. The colors all dry to a matte/satin finish but for each look I have a photo with and without topcoat. I personally love how each of these look with topcoat, the shimmer really comes alive that way, thought worn in it's original matte is a lovely sophisticated variation. No problem formula wise, each one was easy peasy with two coats of polish. I think the polishes are quite pretty and definitely bring to mind colors that would worn in dresses worn by Emma Woodhouse, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, and Elizabeth Bennet.

The By a Lady collection is available right now in her shop for pre-sale and tomorrow, July 1st will be officially be live with individual full size bottles as well as a mini bottle set that will retail for $15.

Elevation Polish The Forest Collection

Happy Friday y'all! I have Elevation Polish's Forest Collection to share with you all today. This collection will be released during July's restock on the 7th of the month (9 pm CST as usual). I love this month's new colors. We had a predominately blue waters color scheme for June and for July we get this earthy set of greens and grays, it reminds me of mysterious forests and rain dappled rock and dark caves.

Elevation Polish Avenue of the Baobabs
Two coats
Taupe creme with blue, copper, pink, and gold micro-flake shimmer.
Absolutely fantastic polish! Formula is so so good and the shimmer adds a nice twist to the neutral base.

Elevation Polish Hinglajgarh Forest
Grass green medium density holographic
Unlike any green holo I have. The color is more cool in tone, not too yellow leaning, making it more complimentary to a wide range of skin tones.

In direct sunlight

Elevation Polish Pointless Forest 2
Two coats
Dark teal jelly base with blue/green and green/gold iridescent glitter and gold micro-glitter
Mmmmmm, wonderful. The iridescent glitter is perfect against the teal jelly base. I recommend a couple of layers of topcoat to smooth it out and get that glassy shine.

Elevation Polish Pointless Forest 1 and 2 Comparison
I happened to have the original Pointless Forest, which was a early small batch prototype and wanted to show you a comparioson of hte two. Pointless Forest 2 has a deeper base color and more iridescent glitter. If you have the first version, you probably don't NEED the second one but I would still recommend getting Pointless Forest 2, it's just that pretty.

Elevation Polish Shilin Stone Forest
Two coats
Stone gray creme with charcoal micro-flakes and low density holo
Gray can so easily become dull to me but this is far from that. Easy formula and the charcoal flakes and holo add such depth.

This collection will be released on July 7th at 9pm in Elevation Polish's shop. Make sure to check out Elevation's blog and Instagram for updates. Llarowe carries select Elevation Polish's as well and those can be found here

Silly Bee's Chickadees Banana Cream Pie & Mellypalooza 2014

Hi everyone! Today I have a couple of Silly Bee's Chickadees polishes to share. These two are unfortunetaly not available any longer for purchase but visit Silly Bee's Chickadees Facebook page, there are a few things in the works for the future.

Silly Bee's Chickadees Banana Cream Pie
Three coats
Pale banana yellow creme/jelly base with black glitter specks
May's Pie of the Month Polish
Simple and just so wonderful, I love the creamy base and the contrast of the black.

Silly Bee's Chickadees Mellypalooza 2014
Layered over Silly Bee's Chickadees Banana Cream Pie
Clear based topper of mint, yellow, lilac, pale pink, and black glitter
Created for Melly of Silly Bee's Chickadees birthday in May. This is such a playful mix of colors and seriously pretty over all sorts of bases. I paired it over a contrasting and complimentary color base to show it off in different ways.

Silly Bee's Chickadees Mellypalooza 2014
Layered over Elevation Polish Mount McKinley

Chaos & Crocodiles Tuesday

Good morning! Chaos & Crocodiles is releasing her newest collection today, the Secret Agent collection, that consists of 10 holographic finish polishes and I wanted to share a few Chaos & Crocodiles polishes that have yet to make it on my blog. A couple of these polishes, Soliloquy and Boardwalk Taffy Shop will also be returning in today's restock. This restock is going to be in a pre-order format and will be active from 12-1 pm and from 8-9 pm (CST), more details about the pre-order is up on her blog here

Chaos & Crocodiles Memoirs of a Rubber Ducky
Layered over Dior Sailor
Clear based topper of pale blue, yellow, white, and red glitter.
So stickin' cute! And it arrived with a little rubber ducky companion named Sophie.

Chaos & Crocodiles Rainbows All Around
Layered over American Apparel Hassid
Clear based topper of rainbow glitter.
I happen to love rainbow glitter polishes, and this one is especially awesome. I love that the glitter pieces are smaller and are mostly metallic and holo finishes.

Chaos & Crocodiles OOAK XLIX
Layered over Color Club Mrs. Robinson
Clear based topper of hot pink, neon yellow, white, and periwinkle.
The contrast between the striking neon colors and the soft perwinkle and white is a major win. This is a OOAK (One of a Kind) polish, so it will not be available for purchase.

Chaos & Crocodiles Boardwalk Taffy Shop
Layered over Elevation Polish Mount McKinley
Clear based topper of pastel rainbow colors.
Triangles! Triangle polish is a major draw for me right now and I love their addition (in just right amount) of this polish.

Chaos & Crocodiles Lollipops and Baby Hippos
Layered over Cult Nails Time Traveler
Clear based topper of periwinkle, pale pink, and aqua glitter with blue/purple shimmer.
I am gonna sound like a broken record here but I do love this polish! The tiny stars are a wonderful detail and the colors just play well off of each other.

Chaos & Crocodiles Soliloquy
Two coats
Deep purple jelly base with blue, purple, copper, and red glitter.
Dark and mysterious, this is the other side of Chaos & Crocs and just as lovely.

Chaos & Crocodiles can be purchased in her Big Cartel shop, as well as through Mei Mei's Signatures and Norway Nails. Updates can be found on her Facebook pageBlogInstagram, and Twitter.

And remember, today's pre-order will be from 12-1 pm and 8-9 pm CST and all the polishes available are up on her shop right now!

Sweet Addictions Monthly Subscription Box: July Edition

Good morning! I hope everyone had a good weekend. I have a new set of polishes to share with you guys today. The Sweet Addictions box is a new monthly subscription box hosted by Cupcake Polish, with July being the introductory box. This month has a patriotic theme and will include products from Aly's Dream Polish and Sweet Baby by Donna. The Sweet Addictions box will be a limited edition set and will be limited in numbers so make sure to be ready on June 25th when it goes on sale. I think they all did a fantastic job putting this together and I can't wait to see what future months will bring.

Aly's Dream Polish Patriotic Blue
Two coats
Blue scattered holo with white bar and square glitter
Gorgeous vivid blue polish! I like that the added white glitter is just enough to add some detailing, I can be picky with bar glitter but it's perfect here.

Cupcake Polish America the Beautiful
Two coats
Berry red holo with red sparks
So darn awesome, I practically swooned while swatching this. Beautiful color and strong holo (even in my  cloudy day weak sun shot).

Sweet Baby by Donna Sweet Freedom Cuticle Oil
This is a full size roller ball cuticle oil pen that has a nice fresh watermelon scent to it. This was my first time trying out a product by Sweet Baby by Donna. I tend to not use cuticle oils because I am so often typing or texting or generally have something in my hand but I tried this out for a few days and I was impressed! It's easy to apply with the roller ball applicator and it absorbs quickly, so I don't have to worry about greasy fingers. The watermelon scent was just fruity and sweet enough without being cloying (always a concern for me).

The Sweet Addictions Box for July will be available only through Cupcake Polish's shop on June 25th for $30 plus shipping and will ship worldwide.
