Elevation Polish Summits Collection Part Two

Hello hello! After a vacation month, I have a new collection from Elevation Polish to share. This is the Summits Collection Part Two, the previous Summits Collection Part One was posted in March here. A couple of the polishes in Part Two are revamped versions of older discontinued Elevations. I hope you guys like these as much as I do!

Elevation Polish Elbrus 2
Two coats
Plum purple with pink, violet and color-shifting gold micro-flakes and shimmer
Having such a complex purple is a wonderful addition to the line up. It's more warm in tone but something that I feel like is wearable for everyone. Photos do not do this one justice. As I was swatching, I could see those color-shifting micro-flakes/shimmer flash and of course, trying to capture that detailing was a no-go.

Elevation Polish Everest 2
Two coats
Light brown/taupe crelly with low density holographic pigment
A cool toned neutral with a twist. I love this type of polish. This is going to have a more subtle scattered holo effect. The holo is not meant to be the star but an accent to the creamy base. I say all this so that you are informed NOT as a discouragement, cause I know there are those full flame holo lovers that may dismiss this polish, which would be a crying shame!

Elevation Polish Mount McKinley
Two coats
Lilac creme/jelly
This is the kind of polish that re-affirms my love for Elevation Polish. Wonderful formula and application. And the color, it is just ~~~~swoon~~~~
Bright and crisp and totally perfect for spring. But you know I am totally gonna be wearing this year round. And getting a back up. Or two.

Elevation Polish Kosciuszko
Layered over Mount McKinley
Clear based topper of cerise (red/pink) colored glitter in varied sizes & gold micro-flake shimmer.
Simple in concept but very striking and the layering possibilities are endless. I especially love how it looks over a complimentary darker color, the gold shimmer stands out much more that way. I wanted to give you a few different looks with Kosciuszko and I am already plotting other color combinations. Definitely need to wear this over a loud orange.

This collection will be released on May 7th at 9pm in Elevation Polish's shop. Make sure to check out Elevation's blog and Instagram for updates. Llarowe carries select Elevation Polish's as well and those can be found here

Hare Polish The Blooming Desert from May's A Box, Indied

Hey guys! Late night post but I just finished editing these pics and could not wait to share them with you guys. The Blooming Desert was included in May's A Box, Indied. A Box, Indied is a monthly box that is sold through Llarowe. Each month has a central theme and will include 5 polishes or nail products from 11 rotating indie brands. May's box is called The Deadly and the Beautiful and includes polishes from Hare Polish, Contrary Polish, Black Cat Lacquer, Glisten & Glow and Crows Toes.

Hare Polish The Blooming Desert
Three coats
Bright pink jelly base with orange and soft white glitter and gold micro-flakes and shimmer.
A polish like this makes me want to shake my fist and go HAAAAAARE! very loudly. LOL. I just flat out adore how pretty it is and how all the colors compliment each other. Hare Polish consistently makes a pink lover out of me and I will just have to be okay with that.

The Blooming Desert is only be available by purchasing May's A Box, Indied from Llarowe. It has already sold for this month but make sure to keep an eye for future boxes. Make sure to follow Hare Polish via her blogFacebook page, and Instagram. To purchase Hare Polish, refer to her Etsy shop.

Nail Venturous Wednesday

Hey everyone! I have wanted to re-wear my Nail Venturous polishes for some time and finally got them all swatched and photographed. I remember these fondly, they were obtained right as the indie polish movement was really taking off and definitely some of the first chaotic restocks, no Cart Hold on Etsy! I love her use of matte micro-glitter, at the time, they were unlike anything else I had come across. Sadly Nail Venturous does not make polishes for sale any longer but we can still enjoy her pretty polishes.

Nail Venturous Burst of Blue
Layered over Wet n Wild Teal Slowly and See

Nail Venturous Floam
Four thin coats

Nail Venturous Flying Blue Jay
Layered over Elevation Polish Mount Agepsta

Nail Venturous Humble Bee
Layered over Elevation Polish Sample MAT #18

Nail Venturous Swamp Princess
Three coats

Nail Venturous Rustic Remains
Layered over Elevation Polish Darkness of the Arctic
Rustic Remains is somewhat sheer, so layering is a must. I love how the color shifting pigment looks aganist the brown flake base of Darkness of the Arctic

YSL La Laque Couture Gris Underground & Rouge Pablo

Happy Friday! I have a couple of YSL La Laque Couture Nail Lacquers to show you guys today. These two polishes were my first YSL polishes and I was impressed by the formual and application. I love the bottle design, it looks luxe and the clean cut square shape makes me happy. I already have a few more YSL's on my shopping list which is a good and bad thing. YSL Nail Lacquers are available through Sephora, Nordstrom and YSL's website

YSL 38 Gris Underground
Two coats
Dusty pale blue/gray creme
Part of the Fall 2013 Collection
It took more effort than I want to admit to track this one down. The color is unlike anything else in my collection and leans just blue enough to make me swoon.

YSL 49 Rouge Pablo
 Two coats
Cherry red creme
Part of the Spring 2014 Collection
My eyes were immediately drawn to this (of course) and it is a nice addition to my collection of red cremes.

Pahlish Mystery Polish Thursday

Hey guys! I have a few Pahlish Mystery polishes I've purchased within the last few weeks. I really love this option in their shop. The anticipation and fun surprise element along with having that unique Pahlish makes these easy buys. Pahlish tends to restock these during their regular Friday evenings restocks and they are now offering Mystery Cremes which I will definitely have to get. The section that includes Mystery Pahlishes is here

Pahlish Mystery Glitter
Layered over American Apparel Hassid
Lilac, violet, and iridescent blue glitter in a clear base.

Pahlish Mystery Holographic
Two coats
Magenta holo with lime micro-shimmer and somewhat foil finish.

Pahlish Mystery Holographic
Two coats
Gunmetal gray holographic with tons of gold microshimmer, giving it a warm finish

To purchase Pahlish polishes, look to Pahlish's Big Cartel shop, and Facebook pageBlog, or Instagram for updates. Other stockists of Pahlish are Llarowe and Edgy Polish

Crows Toes Dead Man's Bells from May's A Box, Indied

Hey everyone! I have a new polish from Crows Toes today. Dead Man's Bells is included in May's A Box, Indied. A Box, Indied is a monthly box that is sold through Llarowe. Each month has a central theme and will include 5 polishes or nail products from 11 rotating indie brands.

May's box is called The Deadly and the Beautiful and will include polishes from Hare Polish, Contrary Polish, Black Cat Lacquer, Glisten & Glow and Crows Toes. When you think of Crows Toes, you probably don't think of flowers but you will be happy to know that this polish most definitely embodies the spirit of both Crows Toes and floral beauty.

Crows Toes Dead Man's Bells
Three coats
Black based jelly with violet, magenta, and grass green glitter in varied size.
Dark and so very pretty.

Inspiration! Dead Man's Bells is the common name for this flower, Digitalis, also known as Foxglove:

Dead Man's Bells is most definitely a polish you can wear by itself but also layer over black if you didn't want to apply multiple coats. This is one coat layered over American Apparel Hassid, my go to one coat black polish.

Dead Man's Bells will only be available by purchasing May's A Box, Indied from Llarowe and will be available on April 26th. Make sure to follow Crows Toes on Facebook and Instagram for updates, as well as Llarowe on Facebook

American Apparel Friday

Happy Friday you guys! I have some American Apparel spam today. I am not really a all around fan of the brand but their nail polish is my weakness. They are nicely priced (3 for $15 when I go into a store), wide range of colors, and really great creme formulas. Hassid, their black nail polish, is the only polish I have gone through, not just once but twice! Most of these are colors that are perfect for layering as well. If you wanted to purchase American Apparel nail polish, look on their site here or in store locations
