Darling Diva Polish Halloween 2016 Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi all! Halloween is this upcoming Monday if you can believe it (where did October go?) and I have one more Halloween inspired collection from Darling Diva Polish to share. This Halloween 2016 Collection (along with the BSC Collection shown yesterday) will be released on today, October 28th in Darling Diva Polish's shop.

Darling Diva Polish A+ Fang Banger
Two coats
Blood red jelly with holo and metallic glitter and holo shimmer
Bloody good, pun intended. Nicely opaque, even with its jelly formula, I have it shown here in two coats.

Darling Diva Polish Living Dead Girl
Three coats
Lilac jelly with iridescent flakes and holo pigment
Pretty and soft and quite lovely. This had a somewhat gummy jelly consistency if that makes sense so while so I did three thinner style coats, you may have opacity in two thicker coats as well.

Darling Diva Polish Pumpkin Spiced Nightshade
Three coats
Pumpkin orange jelly with ultra chrome flakes and holo shimmer
Juicy! Be still my (orange) heart. With its jelly base and more sparse flakes, you will need at least three coats for coverage and still may have a bit of visible nail line showing. Otherwise, easy application.

Darling Diva Polish Sharp Dressed Boogeyman
Two coats
Gunmetal gray base with silver flakes and holo pigment
You can see some flashes of purple in the base and with the added silver, this is a very nice indeed. No issues with formula or application, I have it here in two coats.

Darling Diva Polish BSC Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! It's been a few months since we have seen some new things from Darling Diva Polish and this week she is going to release not just one but three new sets! They are all one pour collections, (one pour meaning this color will not be restocked when it is gone) so if you see something you like, get it while it is available.

For today I have the BSC Collection, aka the Batshit Crazy Collection, inspired by the one and only Helena from Orphan Black. Helena is a character that starts at as a villain but as the show progresses, becomes (for me anyway) a fan favorite, with her crazy, violent tendencies as well as her bond with her fellow clone "Seestras". I know that Orphan Black is not going to appeal to everyone but if you like sci-fi or conspiracy thriller type series, I highly recommend watching it!

The BSC Collection will be released on October 28th in Darling Diva Polish's shop.

Darling Diva Polish Bloody Angel
Two coats
Red holographic with gold flakes and shimmer
I love the golden shimmer and flakes in the color. The red itself has some more pink in the color than I would think of for a "blood red" polish but that's just a minor quibble. It applies easily in two coats.

Darling Diva Polish I Gave Her Darkness
Three coats
Indigo jelly with flakes and shimmer
A very blue toned indigo shade and the flakes with their shifting iridescence are a nice accent. Thinner formula consistency and not quite opaque in two coats but three will do it.

Darling Diva Polish Meathead
Two coats
Black base with multi-chrome copper/gold/green flakes
This is one of those black polishes that take on an antiqued gold or olive coloring with the gold shimmer/flakes. I like seeing the little shifts of color from the ultra chrome flakes. Slightly thicker and opaque enough in two coats.

Darling Diva Polish Oinks
Two coats
Putty nude polish with pink/gold shimmer and added holo sparkle
This is the basically a nude on me with it's neutral/cool tone but the shimmer pops so nicely in that base. It is thicker than I preferred, I tried to use as thin coats as I could, this is one that I would likely add a drop or two of thinner before I wear it again.

Darling Diva Polish Pupok
Two coats
Black jelly with color-shifting shimmer and slight holographic sparkle
Deep and dark and ohhhh are those bits of blue in the base? Yes they are and they are awesome. I was expecting to need three coats and was happy to see that I could get away with just two.

Darling Diva Polish Seestra
Two coats
Hot pink jelly with holographic flakes and blue shimmer
This is my favorite of the set. It's such a bright color compared to some of the darker and subtle shades in the set. Very easy application though with such a pigmented pink shade, I thought I would mention doubling up on your base coat.

Darling Diva Polish Sleep Now
Two coats
Purple scattered holographic with color-shifting micro-glitter
Plum toned purple, and those flakes and glitter that add some extra sparkle.

Darling Diva Polish These I Like
Two coats
White crelly with flakes and holo shimmer
I love the softness of this white crelly and the flakes and shimmer, yes please. Like most white crellies, it does require a bit more care when you apply, thin coats are best.

Great Lakes Lacquer November 2016 LE's & Polish ReVamped Group Customs: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! For today I have a few new polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer. The first two will be monthly limited editions for the month of November, available starting November 1st until December 2nd Great Lakes Lacquer's shop. As with previous Great Lakes Lacquers, I am including Mariah's maker notes in italics, to give you a bit of behind the scenes details.

The final two polishes are also limited edition polishes but will only be available for members of the Polish ReVamped group from November 1st until November 30th. If you purchase those and are not a member of the group, your order will be refunded, so, head on over to the group if you are not already a member, purchase info will be posted on the first day of sale, again that is November 1st!

November Monthly Limited Editions:

Great Lakes Lacquer Hope Full
Two coats
Burnt caramel orange with shifting red to gold shimmer and scattered holo finish
Inspiration notes:
Despite the cynicism of the season, I try to remain full of hope that we can make the world a better place together.
The plethora of orange continues into November and I could not be happier about that. This darker, burnt orange with the holo bits is perfect for the Thanksgiving table. It is slightly thicker in formula but easy peasy application in two coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Thank Full
Two coats
Plum brown linear holographic with red to gold multi-chrome flakes
Inspiration notes
I am full of thanks for the year behind me and I appreciate all of you so much!
Oomph. Hot damn this is stunning, both in and out of direct lighting. The flakes gives you some extra detailing and the holo flame is nice and bold under the right light. Superb application experience, no issues to report whatsoever.

Polish ReVamped Facebook Group Customs:

Great Lakes Lacquer Vamped Out
Two coats
Blackened emerald green with golden sheen and scattered holo pigment
Inspiration notes:  What better to go with a little wine?
It's a true emerald green and then you add the golden flash and holo and le sigh, so so pretty but vampy at the same time. Easy application, slightly gummy formula because of its jelly consistency but applies without issue in two coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Wined Up
Two coats
Mulberry wine with red to gold and bronze shimmer
Inspiration notes:
Celebrate the Holidays!  I hope you have some coping mechanism to deal with 'those' relatives!  Mine will be wine.
Wined up is definitely how the play the holidays and as you hold your glass up to take a sip, you should definitely be wearing this beautiful shade! The color shift is somewhat subtle and lovely to see in person. I had a note from the maker here as well, that there could be some possible staining with long term wear so double up on your base coat if you are concerned about that.
