Darling Diva Polish Naughty Bunny Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey guys! I have a new collection from Darling Diva Polish for today. This set of eight polishes are part of the Naughty Bunny Collection. With this set we get to see more cremes from Darling Diva and that makes me a happy lady. If the names sound familiar, it's because the inspiration comes from the Happy Bunny comic series, which was a trip into nostalgia for me.

The Naughty Bunny Collection will be launching today Friday, April 29th at 7 pm CST in Darling Diva Polish's shop

The cremes are $8 each and the topper polishes are $9 each, you can also purchase the full set for a discounted price of $60 (plus shipping).

Darling Diva Polish Cute, But Psycho
Two coats
Light lilac creme
This is slightly blue in tone, especially in my white Ottlight lighting. It covers well in two coats, which I love for such a light colored purple.

(artificial lighting)

Darling Diva Polish Go Suck Someplace Else
Two coats
Pale buttercream yellow creme
Buttercream yellow is my favorite kind of yellow polish. It has a bit more of a jelly like consistency rather than the straight creme that the previous one was though I still got coverage with two coats. You may find needing a third coat depending of how thin you apply.

(artificial lighting)

Darling Diva Polish Hating You Makes Me All Warm Inside
Two coats
Light orchid pink creme
Yum. Purple toned pink and all sorts of lovely. Easy application as well, with two self leveling coats.

(artificial lighting)

Darling Diva Polish Hi, Loser!
Two coats
Pastel green creme
But of course we must have a green to balance out the color spectrum of the collection and this brightened pastel green is great. Coverage is about the same as the pink, so two coats for coverage for me.

(artificial lighting)

Darling Diva Polish I Made a Little Sculpture of You
Three coats
Light orange crelly
This immediately made me think of Creamsicles. It has the most jelly like consistency out of the collection so I would classify it as a crelly rather than creme. So with that in mind, you will want to apply two to three coats for coverage, I applied three thin coats.

(artificial lighting)

Darling Diva Polish It's Okay If You Want to Drop Dead
Two coats
Pastel blue creme
Light and fresh looking blue, which is something every polish lover should have in their collection. This was the only one I had to be more careful when applying. It wasn't thick, I just think there was more white in the base over the other colors, which made the first coat streaky, but my second coat covered well.

(artificial lighting)

Darling Diva Polish I'll Be Nicer When You're Smarter
Layered over Pretty Serious Presence
Violet/blue/teal ultra-chrome flake topper
A beautiful purple toned flake topper that you can apply over so many polishes. I chose to swatch it over a white base to give you guys a good read on how the flakes look. This is one coat over the white.

(artificial lighting)

Darling Diva Polish Crazy Doesn't Even Begin to Cover It
Layered over Pretty Serious Absence
Holographic top coat
UGH YES. I love a good holo topper and this is wonderful. It has a medium density holo flame and you can apply it over everything. I wanted to show off the holo-ness so I have it over a black base but it looks fantastic over the pale cremes in this collection.

(artificial lighting)

Dots! Doesn't this look like Dippin Dots ice cream? I added a layer of Crazy Doesn't Even Begin to Cover It give it a bit of extra sparkle.

Paint All the Nails Presents: Monochrome

Purchased by Me
Press Samples
Hey all! It's that time of the month in which my fellow Paint All the Nails bloggers and I link up in a group nail art challenge. This month we voted on Monochrome as the theme and I am over-the-top excited to share with you what I came up with.

When we picked the theme of Monochrome, to make it more of a challenge, it was decided that we could be keeping a strict interpretation of the theme, no other colors beyond grayscale. I love black and white together and while I do appreciate bright pops of color, a stark black and white contrast is one of my favorite things to see. I had a number of ideas that I wanted to try so I ended up with not one, but three designs! Let's start with the first one:

For my first attempt, I decided to try a simple black and white stamped look. Stamping is not something I do as often as freehand nail art, so while I like how this flows together, I wish it was just a bit more crisply done. Gotta practice my stamping technique more. I used Rica Whiteout as my base color, and Blackout to stamp the lines from a Moyou Pro plate. I added a layer of Darling Diva Polish Crazy Doesn't Even Begin to Cover It, which is a holo topper that I will be reviewing soon.

My next attempt was a negative space look. You guys know how much I love negative space. I went with this mod looking design using Cirque Colors Carpe Diem and Memento Mori, plus a few curved nail vinyls and some striping tape.

My last design is a free hand floral one. For this look, I decided to use my other go-to black and white polishes, Pretty Serious Absence for the base and Presence (plus a few dabs of Absence) to create the flowers. It was a close call, but this may be my favorite of the three designs.

Fair Maiden Polish Ruby Begonia: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! I have a special new polish from Fair Maiden Polish to share with you today. In the Fair Maiden Facebook fan group, members shared stories of their mothers and a few of those wonderful women were the inspiration for a Mother's Day Trio of polishes that will be releasing this Friday. More information will be revealed soon in Fair Maiden's newsletter as well on their shop blog page. I was given the chance to review Ruby Begonia, also included in this trio is Love is All Around You, shown by My Lacquer Cabinet, and Hearts Together, shown by Newsie Nail Novice.

Look for the Mother's Day Trio to be released this Friday, April 29th at 8 pm EST in Fair Maiden Polish's shop.

Fair Maiden Polish Ruby Begonia
Two coats
Red to gold duo-chrome with red-gold-violet color-shifting shimmer
My oh my, what a beauty. I love the red to gold shifting polishes a lot so I was happy to see this number. It has a thicker style formula but is quite easy to work with. I applied two thinner coats for coverage as well as my go to topcoat, no base color needed for this.

Great Lakes Lacquer May LE's: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi guys! I have a couple of new polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer that will be releasing for next month. These two limited editions for May will be available starting Sunday, May 1st at 3 pm EST in Great Lakes Lacquer's shop and will leave the shop on June 2nd at 2 pm EST.

Great Lakes Lacquer I'd Rather Be Fishing
Two coats
Deep teal green jelly with green to blue shifting shimmer, bronze and purple iridescent micro-flakes
Maker note:
It's that time of year again. The lake calls and the fish start biting.
A beautiful intensely shimmered color and though is it a jelly finish, its opaque enough to be worn in two thinly applied coats.

(artificial lighting)

Great Lakes Lacquer Redear Sunfish
Two coats
Strawberry red linear holographic with peach micro-flakes and blue glass fleck
Maker note:
My favorite fish to catch. They are very beautiful. And tasty too.
Well I have never had the chance to taste a Redear Sunfish but I do love this warm red holo color. Applies well with two coats for coverage, though it was pretty opaque with just the one coat. The holo flame is a medium to high density one.

Contrary Polish Color4Nails Exclusives: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey all! I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday so far. For today, I have a couple of new polishes from Contrary Polish. These two will be store exclusives for Color4Nails and will be released this Sunday, April 24th, in their shop. I am also including the inspiration photo colleges for the polishes below:

Contrary Polish How Prim is Your Rose?
Three coats
Light rose pink with copper and holographic shimmer/micro-glitter
I really loved this rosy pink. The crelly finish gives it a nice shine and the copper in the base makes me a happy blogger. Application wise, I found that it was almost opaque in two coats but I didn't want any patches visible in my photos so I applied a third coat, along with my standard topcoat. I did find that I had to make sure I had enough polish on my brush, otherwise, the polish on my nail started to drag when I applied, so don't wipe off too much excess before you apply the 2nd or 3rd coat.

(artificial lighting)

Contrary Polish I Kinda Lilac You
Three coats
Lilac crelly with silver and holographic shimmer/micro-glitter
You can never really go wrong with a nice shade of lilac purple. I like that this is a cooler counterpart to the pink, with it's silver rather than copper addition. Formula and application was about the same as How Prim is Your Rose?

Cupcake Polish Butterfly Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! I have a new collection from Cupcake Polish to share with you today. These six polishes make up her upcoming Butterfly Collection.

Formula wise, it's very much what I have come to expect from Cupcake Polish. The formula is one the thick side, which I find easy to work with and will result in opaque coverage. I applied two coats for each of the polishes, as well as my standard layer of topcoat. I love the vibrancy of the colors offered and how well they play off of each other. Removal is easy peasy with any sort of acetone or non-acetone, you will not need to break out a easy removal base coat for these polishes.

I took my photos under two different light sources. The first two pics will give you a feel of how accurate the colors are. The third photo is not a flash photo but under a LED lamp and while it does wash out the color of the polish, will give you an idea of the density of the holo flame.

The Butterfly Collection will be released Sunday, April 24th at 11 am CST in Cupcake Polish's shop

I do not have exact pricing but I expect these to be what previously released Cupcake Polish's are priced at, which is $13 for each full size bottle. And Cupcake does usually have a discounted promotional price for the full set during the first 24 hours of sale, check Cupcake Polish's social media links at the end of the post for that information.

Cupcake Polish Cocoon
Two coats
Rusty orange linear holographic with golden shimmer
My photos make this look just a tad more red in tone when in person, this is very much a rusty orange. It's my own personal favorite of the collection as there aren't nearly as many orange holos out there as there should be and this is pretty darn awesome.

(artificial lighting)

Cupcake Polish Hatch of the Day
Two coats
Rose pink linear holographic with golden shimmer
This is a bit softer in coloring compared to the other pink in this collection but it also has the highest density holo flame out of the six. It is super crazy holo under direct light.

(artificial lighting)

Cupcake Polish Little Butterfly
Two coats
Emerald green linear holographic with golden shimmer
Wow, this is one heck of a green color. Green is not something I wear too often but I actually have this on today, which happens to be April 22nd, Earth Day, and I am feeling all sorts of fresh.

(artificial lighting)

Cupcake Polish Metamorphosis
Two coats
Deep denim blue linear holographic with golden shimmer
Blue holo polishes never disappoint and this one is wonderful. It's not quite cobalt but still a deep satisfying blue shade that you will want to grab up.

(artificial lighting)

Cupcake Polish Time to Fly
Two coats
Orchid pink linear holographic with golden shimmer
Practically glows in the bottle and on the nail the color is simply fantastic.

(artificial lighting)

Cupcake Polish Transformation
Two coats
Blue toned purple linear holographic with gold shimmer
One of those blue/purple wonders that never quite photograph accurately. It looks a bit more purple in the bottle, especially when placed next to Metamorphosis.
