Great Lakes Lacquer December 2016 LE's: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi all! Let's start off today with some new monthly polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer. These limited edition polishes for December will be available on Thursday December 1st until January 1st in Great Lakes Lacquer's shop.

Great Lakes Lacquer Fade To Winter
Three coats
Medium blue (warm) to dark blue (cold) thermal with blue/purple shifting shimmer plus scattered holo
Inspiration notes:
An ode to the stolen blue sky of summer.
Softly beautiful and very reminiscent of winter dusk to night times. It has a crelly like formula so three thin coats worked best for me. It transitions quickly from the lighter blue state to the darker blue in colder temps.

Great Lakes Lacquer Rainbow! Right Here And Now!
Three coats
Gray crelly with flakes that represents all colors of the rainbow
Inspiration notes:
Inspired by a photo and named for a beloved character in a book.  Every rainbow I see, I say in my head 'Right Here And Now!'  Most times, I will add a Wolf onto the end as well.
Unexpected but very much welcome. I rarely gravitate toward gray shades but with the iridescent flakes, it has a bit of purple to the color and is oh so pretty. This is slightly thick but that's not unusual considering the flakes and holo pigment added. Like the previous polish, three thinly applied coats is all you need.

Great Lakes Lacquer Winter Solstice Sunrise
Three coats
Faded sky blue with violet to blue to purple multi-chrome flakes that shifts plus multi-colored shimmer
Inspiration notes:
Inspired by sunrises and the colors that inspire me the most.
This one though, it's my favorite of the three. The dusky, almost periwinkle blue base is exactly what I love and then you add those ultra chrome flakes and damn. Gorgeous. The base color is on the sheer side, which I understand, if you had a more opaque base color, the flakes would not have been as prominent. Three coats worked best here too, though a ridge builder base coat would help.

Cirque Colors Holiday 2016 Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey all! I have Cirque Color's Holiday 2016 Collection today. This is a four polish set, with beautiful holiday appropriate colors. Most of them are limited edition polishes, Ambrosia is the only one that is not, so if you see something you like, get it now while you can. Also, if you hadn't exhausted your polish budget yet, Cirque has their creme polishes on sale for $10 each (usually they are $13). I have a deep abiding love for Cirque's creme polishes and would highly recommend any of them but most especially Memento Mori, which is the perfect one coat black polish.

The Holiday 2016 Collection is available now in Cirque Color's shop

All cremes are $10, use the code CREME10 which expires December 2nd, 2016

Cirque Colors Ambrosia
Two coats
Oxblood red holographic
Vampy goodness. You know this is right up my alley. Easy application and lovely opaque formula.

(Under LED Light)

Cirque Colors Halcyon
Two coats
Rose gold metallic with pure silver coated micro-flakes
Rose gold perfection. Unfortunately this is sold out in the shop and it is a limited edition polish. If you see it available elsewhere, grab it!

Cirque Colors Idyllic
Two coats
Icy blue metallic with pure silver coated micro-flakes
Formula is the same as Halcyon, so opaque coverage in two coats. Very reflective but with a more cooler toned, icy blue.

Cirque Colors Winter Bloom
Three coats
Mint green with blush pink shimmer and holographic flakes
The mint green base is on the sheer side, but build-able, this is three coats shown and no visible nail line. I love the pink shimmer, it adds a ethereal prettiness the color.

Polish My Life Too Hot Tourmaline
Two coats
Teal blue creme
October Creme
A beautiful and rich blue creme. Very saturated, so while I did not have any staining from swatching (usually a good sign), I do recommend a good base (or double layer) to prevent any staining.

Polish My Life Tourmaline Treats
Two coats
Teal blue holographic
October Gleam
My oh my, another dreamy blue. This is just slightly more green in coloring but definitely a teal blue. Very opaque, coverage here is with two coats.

Polish My Life Citrine Creamsicle
Two coats
Dusky orange creme
November Creme
I love this! Exclamation point! It's like a smooth butterscotch orange, which is not a color I see too often. Very nice application, it self levels well and is opaque in just two coats.

Polish My Life Citrine Hard Candy
Two coats
Dusky orange/tan holographic
November Gleam
A little darker, slightly more tan holo Gleam version. Which I am just as much in love with. Nice subtle holo flame.

Polish My Life Holiday Gemstones
Layered over Too Hot Tourmaline
December Glitter
December birthdays have claim to three gemstones; Zircon, Tanzanite and Turquoise, so Shaneka decided to create a polish that would include all of those with this glitter. Lots of sparkle and something that could easily be layered over dark or light colors, either to compliment or contrast, whatever you are in the mood for. I have it shown over both the creme polishes in this release to show you the differences.

Crows Toes Death Warmed Over, Mjölnir, Murder in the 2nd, and Over & Over: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review

Hi everyone! I took a few days off for the Thanksgiving holiday and I am back today with some polishes from Crows Toes. These four are the newest offerings in her shop and as usual, are striking and full of eye-catching details. These are available right now in the Crows Toes's shop via pre-order through November 29th.

Crows Toes Death Warmed Over
Two coats
Pink/Copper/Gold/Green/Blue multi-chrome with iridescent flakes and holo sparks
An unusual multi-chrome. It is quite shifty, you can see glints of all sorts of colors. It's not a color that I totally love but I like that it's outside the standard. Formula was on the thicker side, so this is two thinner style coats.

Crows Toes Mjölnir
Two coats
Red to gold duo-chrome with red/gold color-shifting glitter
Part of the continuing Nine Realms Collection
Goodness gracious this is a heart stopper. I love how dramatically glowing the orange/red is and the added glitter add these sparks of holo. Formula was on the thicker side, so this is two thinner style coats.

Crows Toes Murder in the 2nd
Two coats
Green/blue/purple color-shifting shimmer in a blackened base with green and holo micro-glitter
Similar in style as Mjölnir but on the other end of the color spectrum. Dark and broody and lovely.
Formula was on the thicker side, so this is two thinner style coats.

Crows Toes Over & Over
Two coats
Royal purple with blue shift and copper holo micro-glitter
So very purple. The purple itself is a red toned shade which contrasts nicely with orange/copper glitter. Formula was on the thicker side, so this is two thinner style coats.
