Dani's Manis 30 Day Nail Challenge Round Up

Hello hello! So way back on April 1st, I posted about a 30 Day Nail Challenge that my friend Dani had come up with and that I was going to do it. And I totally finished it!

For the month of April, I did each and every single challenge and it was such a great experience. Prior to doing this challenge, I didn't think of myself as someone who could do nail art beyond layering or simple techniques. But doing this challenge really made me get creative and explore new facets of nail art. I am still mostly a swatcher when it comes to this nail blog but I am definitely going to be incorporating more nail art in the future in posts, so I hope you guys enjoy that new feature. The four below ended up being my favorite ones:

If you are wondering where I have photos of this challenge, I actually posted everything day by day on my Instagram account. If you don't follow me on Instagram, I hope that you will, for the most part, I post photos that are my current nail-of-the-day and sometimes they don't even make it to my blog. I have also posted photos on a Pinterest board just for this challenge, so if you like to pin Pins or just see them, check them out.

Pahlish Wood Between the Worlds Collection

Hey everyone! I am excited to share with you all Pahlish's Summer 2014 Wood Between the Worlds Collection. This collection was inspired by the classic Chronicles of Narnia. For me though, it's all about the colors, this collection is full of vibrant and summery polishes that make me happy.

I have to comment on the formula. As I was swatching these, I seriously could not get over how awesome the formula is and for each one, I only needed two coats for full coverage. This is the norm for Pahlishes but when you swatch 8 polishes in a row, it's something you really notice. As for the colors, well, I could gush for days about how freaking AMAZING these are. Lots of contrast between base color and glitter and/or flakes. These are polishes that are so suitable for a summer collection but are also pretty darn nice to wear any time of the year. It was so hard to pick a favorite but I think that Nine Names is probably it.

Three coats
Pale pink creme base with assorted pastel glitter
This totally makes me think of cupcakes and kittens and all that is sweet.

Polish Addict In Bloom
Three coats
Pale green jelly base with pink, white, lavender and green glitter
Fresh and very reminiscent of a spring floral.

Polish Addict After the Rain
Three coats
Soft blue holo with blue/gold flakes and rainbow glitter
Holo with it's own unique twist, I especially love the flakes.

Polish Addict Pretty in Punk
Three coats
Pale gray jelly base with black, pink, and gold glitter
These colors shouldn't work together but they totally do.

Chaos and Crocodiles Twilight Lagoon and Cupcake Pirate

Second post of the day! I have a couple of new Chaos and Crocodiles polishes to share with you guys. These two will be available this Saturday's (May 17th) during a restock in Chaos and Crocodiles' shop. There is also a third polish, an awesome glitter called Lollipops and Baby Hippos, that will be released as well, check out Chaos and Crocodiles' Facebook page for photos and specific restock time.

Chaos and Crocodiles Twilight Lagoon
Two coats
Teal jelly/creme base with gold and rainbow flakes, rainbow shimmer and a touch of holo pigment.
Lovely as can be! The holo pigment is just enough to give it a extra sparkle and I love the flakes against that creamy teal base.

Chaos and Crocodiles Cupcake Pirate
Two coats
Dark magenta creme base with gold shimmer and a touch of pink & blue micro-shimmer.
This polish.....it's so gosh darn pretty, I can't even take it.
The coloring of this is more a darker pink but it's very saturated and the shimmer is outstanding.
Just yesterday, I was saying that there are only a few makers who can make me like pink polish. Chaos and Crocs is most definitely one of those makers. And honestly, just calling it a pink polish doesn't seem to do it justice.

Comparison between Cupcake Ninja and Cupcake Pirate.
I had both of these Chaos and Crocs polishes and thought that some people would like to see them side by side to compare. As you can see, similar coloring and finish but they are clearly two different polishes. Cupcake Ninja is much brighter and it's shimmer is silver/pink and cooler in tone than Cupcake Pirate's golden shimmer. Both must owns!

BATTLE TO END ALL BATTLES.
lolololol, not really but Sarey from C&C made this doodle and I was like, YES, this is going in my blog post.
In my mind, this is not a epic battle but a friendly play fight between buddies. Or is it......?

Chaos & Crocodiles can be purchased in her Big Cartel shop, as well as through Mei Mei's Signatures and Norway Nails. Updates can be found on her Facebook pageBlogInstagram, and Twitter.

Nubar Calla Lily Caramel & A-Peel-ing

Good morning! I have a couple of Nubar polishes to show y'all. I don't own that many Nubar polishes and I can't really say why that is. Maybe they aren't just on my radar as much. But I got these two from eBay a while back after seeing photos of the full Eden Collection on another blog. Not that I need more polish but I think I will have to keep an eye out for future Nubar collection releases.

Nubar Calla Lily Caramel
Three coats
Pale caramel jelly base with pink shimmer.
The pink shimmer is intense against the pale base. And I really like the pale caramel color, it's not too brown or dark. Overall a warm look but it looks okay with my skin tone.

Nubar A-Peel-ing
Two coats
Tangerine creme base with gold shimmer.
Yeah, I got the orange, which is my habit. Again, intense shimmer and quite pretty.
