Hi everyone! I have polishes from Sheer Lust (a new-to-me brand base in California) to share with you all today. Here is a little blurb about this collection:
"Inspired by the joy of the Tech Age, the Spring/Summer 2017 Electro-Chic collection combines futuristic style with glitzy 70s flare. Electro-Chic’s metallic touch allows for manipulation of light, creates a pulsating effect on your nails, and adds to this summer’s go-to bright candy colors. Sheer Lust’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection is perfect for the spontaneous, powerful and free spirit of the season."
Formula wise, this collection consists of all metallic polishes, so I can't say that all Sheer Lust polishes will perform the same but overall, these were very easy to apply. With their metallic formula, you are going to see some visible brushstrokes, but that is the nature of metallic/chrome polishes. I was impressed by the opaqueness of the polishes, I did not apply a base coat and for each polish shown below, I need just one coat for full coverage! If I was to wear the polishes for a longer period, I would likely apply a second coat anyway (chipping y'all) but still, wow, so very opaque. I bet these would stamp like a dream with that in mind.
The branding and packaging is very lux, with gorgeous glass and silver cap minimalist bottles (they are 12 ml). The brushes for the bottles are wide, flat brushes (my favorite kind) and they are manufactured to be five-free (No formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, or camphor). The price point is a bit higher than I prefer, $18 per bottle but it's what I would expect from a higher end niche polish brand and again, the packaging looks and feels worthy of this price point. As for what my favorite polish of the set would be, no surprise here that Metallic Marmalade's fiery orange was it for me.
The Electro-Chic Spring/Summer 2017 Collection is available now in Sheer Lust's shop. As I mentioned, each bottle retails for $18 and you can also purchase the full six polish set at a discounted price of $95.
