 Hey guys! Today I have a new polish from Crows Toes called Candied Brains Anyone? This polish is an exclusive of October's A Box, Indied that is sold through Llarowe. Considering the box is meant for October, it's no surprise that the theme has to do with Halloween. I love how brightly colored this particular polish is and I can't wait to see what the other makers will be contributing.

BRAINNNNNNS. The couple of times I have actually had brains (animal not human!) I didn't totally like them but if there were candy brains, that would be another story. 

This Crows Toes polish is just stunning in real life. The jewel toned colors are so pretty layered over all sorts of bases colors. I decided to apply it over a cobalt blue and a oxblood red to bring out the blue and orange glitter more. No problem with application, though I do recommend two layers of topcoat (or a layer of Gelous and then topcoat which is my method).

Darling Diva Polish Pageant Collection

Hello! I have a freaking fantastic new collection from Darling Diva Polish to show you guys. The Pageant Collection is inspired by the movie Drop Dead Gorgeous. I have only seen the movie once, a long while back, but it was hilarious and I think a re-watch is in order for me. If you haven't ever seen the film, it's not something you have to watch, but considering the polish names in this collection, I feel like watching Drop Dead Gorgeous is going to make the experience better. 

Not much to say about the formula, everything applied easily, and with the holo polishes, since they do include holo micro-glitter, I recommend two coats of topcoat to get a smooth finish. These are linear holo polishes but the holo flame isn't going to look quite like metallic holos. Since many of these holos have added micro-glitter, you are going to have a somewhat scattered sparkle effect, which I loved, it makes for some variety and uniqueness among my holographic polish collection.

My oh my, this is pretty as can be. 

It's opaque enough to be worn by itself, you don't have to layer over a dark base to get that eye-catching color shift. And the holo-ness is the cherry on top of the delicious sundae that is this polish.

Cupcake Polish Falling Back in Time Collection

Hey everyone! Before we go into today's post, I wanted to mention that I my two year blog anniversary was this weekend, yay! This means I have a few things in the works for you readers. I am a little behind planning, this time of the year is a hectic for me, BUT....BUT they will be amazing, and since I am more active on Instagram now, there will be more ways to win. 

Okay, with that out of the way, let's move on to the polishes. This is Cupcake Polish's Fall 2014 release, named the Falling Back in Time Collection. This six piece set will be released this Sunday, September 7th in her shop, at 11 am CST. Overall, I loved this collection, all the polishes have a vintage feel to the coloring and application was super easy.

I love how opaque this is with coverage, and it's somewhat soft but in sunlight the holo glitter comes alive.
