Digital Nails Spamorama

Digital Nails is a new to me brand that I had stalked on Etsy for weeks and finally pulled the trigger for a large order not too long ago. I absolutely adore this brand and could not recommend it more to those who may be unfamiliar with it. The creator, Raphaelle, is a fellow Austinite, which is an automatic plus for me, though this probably doesn't mean anything to others.

Formula wise, these are great, no probably with application or fishing for glitters. I do love the packaging and little touches that Raphaelle does, like adding a small gift-with-purchase nail file or hair tye. Shipping turnaround time was super fast, which is always appreciative. The inspiration behind the polishes definitely appeals to me but I think it's the polishes themselves that are the stars. They are unique and original polish colors and I look forward to seeing what Raphaelle comes up with next!

Digital Nails Expelliarmus
Three coats (and then mattified in the 2nd photo).
Part of the ladies of Doctor Who collection and inspired by the wonderful Martha Jones.
This one has a thinner formula and those extra large circle glitters, so I would recommend a good shake before applying.

Digital Nails Run, You Clever Boy
Two coats
Part of the ladies of Doctor Who collection and inspired by the oh so mysterious Clara Oswald.
DAT SHIMMA, love it! Contrasts well against the wine jelly base.

Digital Nails Super Temp
Two Coats
Part of the ladies of Doctor Who collection and inspired by the Donna Noble, my personal fav companion.
This one is hot with golden shimmer running through it.

Digital Nails Ultimate Ginger
Three coats and mattified.
Part of the ladies of Doctor Who collection and inspired by the girl who waited aka one Amy Pond.
The colors are lovely and I especially like how this looks mattified.

Digital Nails Incendium
Three coats and then mattified.
Inspired by the ladies of Adventure time, specifically Flame.
I love fiery polishes and this one was one I couldn't not get.

Digital Nails Oh, Fionna
Three coats and then mattified.
Inspired by the ladies of Adventure time, specifically Fiona.
Those turquoise and yellow circle glitters, which excite me to no end, just pop against the nude base.

Digital Nails Wibbly Wobbly
Two coats layered over China Glaze Isle See You Later
Inspired by Doctor Who
My favorite of the bunch. I have no others words except.....holy crap, how cool does this look?!

Elevation Polish Lys Glacier
Two coats
May 2013 prototype
Dusky light purple with gray overtones and purple microflakes

Three coats
May's Australian Sunrise & Sunset collection
So glossy, perfect on it's own and for layering. I think I must get a back up of this.

Elevation Polish Mount Feathertop with Happy Hands Illusions, Michael
See what I mean? Perfect.
This jelly sandwich combo is three coats of M. Feathertop, one coat of Illusions, Michael and then one more coat of M. Feathertop.

One coat layered over Sinful Gel Tech I'm Blushing
March's The View from the Top collection
This yellow neon glitter topper is such a unique and special polish.
I have worn it multiple times in the last few weeks and this is one of my fav. layering combos with it.

Huanghan matched my Gap neon yellow clutch so well, I had to include a pic of them together.

Lumina Lacquer Monday

Good morning! I have a few Lumina Lacquer polishes for today. The polishes from this brand are ones that are FULL of glitter and very attention grabbing. Every time I have worn one of her polishes, I have had strangers ask me what I am wearing. I didn't have to fish at all for those large glitters, but dabbing method is better when applying.

Lumina Lacquer 1000 Julys
One coat layered over Elevation Polish Pic de Sotllo
Holographic stars, hearts, moons, large circles with black and blue hexes.
Makes me think of hanging out on the water on a hot summer night.

Lumina Lacquer Discotheque
One coat layered over Cult Nails Enticing
Red stars and hexes, purple holographic circles, pink diamonds, and gold stars.

Lumina Lacquer Camouflage
Two coats layered over China Glaze Keepin' It Teal
Large green and turquoise circles, hexes, stars with black hexes.
My favorite of the three, very unique and unlike anything else I have in my collection.

Lumina Lacquer polishes can be purchased here. Updates regarding restocking and new colors can be found on Facebook here. Next restock (with 8 new polishes!) will be this Thursday, June 6th, at 1 pm CST.

China Glaze Hologram Collection

Today I have a few polishes from China Glaze Hologram Collection. My picks were Infra-Red, Strap on Your Moonboots, and When Stars Collide. They are very opaque in terms of application, I used two coats but could have really just used one. No special base coat or topcoat was needed, my photos are shown without a topcoat. The holographic effect is better than I expected. They are definitely not as holo as Jade, Layla, or Color Club holo polishes but still very linear. When Stars Collide is favorite of the three, I love that maroon holo!
