Girly Bits Cosmetics September 2016 COTM Duo: Swatches and Review

Good morning! For today I have Girly Bits Cosmetics' September COTM Duo to share. These two polishes will only be available for the month of September through two different shopping windows. 

The first is from September 6th until September 10th with no limit on the quantity you purchase.  They are $16.50 CAD each, so if you buy both during the first pre-order period, you can get the duo for a discounted $31 CAD.  The second sale window will be start on September 24th and will stay open until the last day of the month or until product(s) sells out. Girly Bits Cosmetics Peace-oop

Two coats

Chartreuse green crelly with multi-colored flakes
 I do like chartreuse but I am not 100% in love with this color. That's okay though, while it may not be for me, I can see how it will be something that appeals to many others. I do appreciate that Girly Bits is doing something different and outside the norm. Application is great, it goes on well in two coats and has a nice fluid formula.

Girly Bits Cosmetics Sep-timber

Chocolate brown linear holographic with red micro-shimmer

Goodness gracious, Pam made me not just like, but LOVE a brown polish! I don't know what exactly it is about this shade, maybe it's the fiery sparkle that you get or the red tone of the color itself but it's gorgeous. It's a jelly finish holo but still opaque enough it two coats and the holo is a medium to high one, always a good thing.

Lilypad Lacquer Sweetpea, Cool Suede, & Smoking Violet: Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! I am back today from vacation and I have a ton of posts lined up for you all. To start out, here are a few polishes from Lilypad Lacquer. These are all older releases and available now in Lilypad Lacquer's shop, who does ship worldwide.  

Lilypad Lacquer Sweetpea

Two coats

Magenta scattered holographic with pink and gold micro-flakes

A rich looking pink shade with some added flake detailing. It applies well in two coats and I do like that it has a scattered holo finish. 

Lilypad Lacquer Cool Suede

Two coats

Mink brown linear holographic with turquoise shimmer

This was my favorite of the three, it's the most unique of them for sure. It does have a "suede" like finish, especially if you let it dry without topcoat. I don't usually like brown colors but this is a very cool toned brown and the shimmer is so interesting in the base. It goes on smoothly, with two coats for coverage. This bottle was a 7 ml mini bottle and the brush is a flat wide brush which was okay to use. I still prefer full size brushes but this was a good brush for a mini bottle. 

Lilypad Lacquer Smoking Violet

Two coats

Dark amethyst purple linear holographic

I like that this is a darker purple with some red in the coloring but not overly so. It has a smokiness to it as well, fitting considering the name. It goes on easily like the other two though this was just a tad less opaque, so I could see some needing to apply a third coat. Nothing groundbreaking but a pretty purple holo, which is sometimes all you need to make you happy.

Vapid Lacquer Goddess of Spring Collection: Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! I have a Vapid Lacquer's Goddess of Spring Collection for today. These were released several months ago so while the lighter, pastel colors may not be what is trending but these are too pretty not to be shared. 

I do like to see a collection in which finish and style is similar but with a variance in color. The pastel shades are not new and original but I love the added fleck shimmer each one has, adding some some uniqueness to the polishes. They were nicely opaque despite being lighter colors, though I did find them to be slightly on the chalky side. This is not an issue with application but you will want to apply topcoat to get a glassy finish. As for coverage, they were each opaque with two coats for coverage. The Goddess of Spring Collection is available now in Vapid Lacquer's shop!

Nerd Lacquer Thursday Swatches

Hi everyone! I am off for vacation through Labor Day, yay! I have some swatch posts that have been sitting on my blog drafts section and what better time to post these but now. The polishes for today are all Nerd Lacquer polishes, some older, some newer. I am always intrigued by the colors and interesting mixtures that Nerd Lacquer creates but the formula for each one can be hit or miss.
