Darling Diva Polish Holiday 2013: Opal Collection

Good morning! It feels like it's been forever since I sat down and wrote a post when it's really been only a week. Well, to give you guys a re-boost of the blog, today I have a new collection from Darling Diva Polish. The Opal collection is part one of her Holiday 2013 collection release (part two is forthcoming). Each of the seven polishes shown has an appropriately named color as well as lots of iridescent flakes and micro-shimmer, all inspired by opal stones. Application was easy on these, some may need to be layered but the majority need three coats for full coverage. This collection is going to be released very soon so make sure to stayed updated by following Darling Diva Polish's Facebook page. The second collection will be revealed within the next few days so check back later.

Darling Diva Polish Black Opal
Three coats
First one is bang! Stunning in it's deep dark black base with the flash of blue from the flakes. One that could be layered over black but I prefer how it looks with multiple coats.

Darling Diva Polish Blue Opal
Three coats
This is very light blue color and goes on more sheer than it appears in the bottle.
I wanted to see how it would look solo so I did not layer it, and I do really like how delicate it looks, though it probably could have used another coat for coverage.
If you wanted to deepen the color or apply less layers, layering over a light blue would be an easy alternative.

Darling Diva Polish Sea Moss Opal
 Three coats
Sea Moss Opal is a very rich looking green and the blue flash gives you a fantastic contrast against the green base.

Darling Diva Polish Teal Opal
Three coats
With Teal Opal, you will not see a contrast but more a complimentary visual with the blue flash in the teal colored base. Wonderful.

Darling Diva Polish Violet Opal
Three coats
Violet is turning violet! And such a lovely shade it is, this color and flakes were made for each other.

Darling Diva Polish Opal
Two coats layered over Cult Nails Time Traveler
Opal is has all that wonderful iridescent flakie goodness but in a clear base, perfect for layering.

Darling Diva Polish Rose Opal
Three coats
Last but not least, a bright pink rose colored polish and most definitely my favorite of the collection.
I love Rose Opal, which for me, the picky pink polish person that I am, is a feat.

Darling Diva Polish can be purchased in her Etsy and Big Cartel shops as well as through Llarowe and Edgy Polish. Updates can be found on her Facebook page
