Lollipop Posse Lacquer The Wicked Little Collection :Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi guys! I am very happy to share with you Lollipop Posse Lacquer's newest collection. This new release is The Wicked Little Collection, a set of seven polishes inspired by everything "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", including the movie, songs, and mostly importantly, images of the actors who have portrayed the iconic Hedwig on the Broadway stage. Here is an inspiration pic to put some visualization in your mind:

I was so excited when Karen told me the inspiration behind this collection. I haven't had a chance to see any of the musical performances but I really love the film Hedwig and the Angry Inch. With such a colorful source of material to draw upon, I think Karen did an amazing job bringing to life the inspiration with these polishes. I am including the song quote snip-its that Karen included just above each polish name.

The Wicked Little Collection will be released tomorrow, Sunday April 17th at 12 pm EST in Lollipop Posse Lacquer's shop

They will be priced at $9.50 to $12 each and you will have the option to purchase the full seven polish set at a discounted $69 (with free domestic shipping, as well as discounted international shipping).

"And Osiris and the gods of the Nile / Gathered up a big storm / To blow a hurricane / To scatter us away / In a flood of wind and rain / And a sea of tidal waves / To wash us all away" ~The Origin of Love, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Lollipop Posse Lacquer A Flood of Wind and Rain
Two coats
Blue crelly with silver holographic glitter in several sizes, as well as linear holo pigment
A pretty aquatic blue with really great application and medium density holo flame.

"And you're shining / Like the brightest star / A transmission / On the midnight radio / And you're spinning / Like a 45 /Ballerina / Dancing to your rock and roll" ~Midnight Radio, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Lollipop Posse Lacquer A Transmission on the Midnight Radio
Three coats
Silver holographic micro-glitter, holographic sapphire glitter, and ocean blue holographic glitter in several sizes
I feel like a disco ball with these on my nails! You can wear this as a topper polish but I found that it was opaque enough to wear on its own, this is three thin coats and a generous layer of topcoat.

"I rose from off of the doctor's slab / like Lazarus from the pit / Now everyone wants to take a stab / and decorate me / with blood graffiti and spit / Enemies and adversaries / they try and tear me down / You want me, baby, I dare you / Try and tear me down." ~Tear Me Down, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Blood and Graffiti
Two coats
Blood red jelly with fiery red holographic glitter in several sizes and shapes
Oh my GLOB. This was by far my favorite of the collection which I am sure is not a big surprise. It;s very much a blood red, with a rusty coloring. It was also opaque enough to just need two coats which I love to see with jelly polishes. You will want to apply another layer of topcoat post application, as I wore this for two days post swatching and didn't quite have a smooth finish with one layer of topcoat.

"I've got a sweet tooth / for licorice drops and jelly roll / Hey sugar daddy / Hansel needs some sugar in his bowl." ~Sugar Daddy, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Licorice Drops and Jelly Roll
Two coats
Black polish with navy and purple to blue shifting flakes plus purple iridescent micro-glitter and shimmer
Vamp-tastic with this dark polish. I really like the strong purple/blue shimmer and that you can still see the black jelly base even with the shimmer being so strong.

(artificial lighting)

"I put on some make-up / And turn on the tape deck / And pull the wig back on my head / Suddenly I'm / Miss Midwest Midnight Checkout Queen / Until I head home / And I put myself to bed." ~Wig in a Box, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Midnight Checkout Queen
Three coats
Magenta pink with holographic micro-flakes & purple and cherry holographic glitter plus slight red to purple shifting pigment
Ooooooh sparkle, YES, love that sparkle. This was one of my other favorites, there are a lot of detailing and it's a striking looking pink. Like the other micro-glitter polish, I applied three thin coats for opacity.

"And there's no mystical design / No cosmic lover preassigned / There's nothing you can find that can not be found / 'Cause with all the changes you've been through / It seems the stranger's always you / Alone again in some new / Wicked little town." ~Wicked Little Town, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Lollipop Posse Lacquer The Stranger is Always You
Two coats
Chocolate-brown crelly with full shimmer and micro-flakes in blue, pink, and aqua
An unusual pairing with the lighter toned chocolate brown and the blue/pink/aqua shimmer but it works. I like that Karen took a chance of this sort of color, even if it won't be for everyone. Applies easily with two coats.

(artificial lighting)

"The automatist's undoing / The whole world starts unscrewing / As time collapses and space warps / You see decay and ruin / I tell you 'No, no no no / You make such an exquisite corpse'" ~Exquisite Corpse, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Time Collapses, Space Warps
Two coats
Indigo-tinted based with small purple to blue color-shifting flakes and purple to blue shifting shimmer
Finally we have this purple shimmer which is practically glowing. It's one of those not quite blue, not quite purple colors that is better to be seen in person to be appreciated.
