Lemming Lacquer "Damn It, I Had Something For This, Part One" Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Oh my goodness, you guys, I am so excited to share with you the polishes in today's post. When Cassie of Lemming Lacquer asked me if I could review this collection, mentioning that it was going to be inspired by the TV show Archer, a show I absolutely love, I immediately said yes. Actually, it was more like, "YES PLEASE!"

The "Damn It, I Had Something For This" Collection is actually part one of the Archer inspired collection, part two will be releasing in July. Reading the inspiration notes that Cassie provided (those are in italics) and seeing the colors that she came up with, I can really see how much the source material translated to this set and as a fan, I wholeheartedly approve. However, I also think that the polishes are beautiful without the references so if you are not a fan or do not watch Archer, you will still enjoy these polishes.

The "Damn It, I Had Something For This" Collection will be released tomorrow Friday, June 17th in Lemming Lacquer's shop.

Lemming Lacquer Holy Sh*t Snacks!
Two coats
Peach creme
The perfect "Pam" color, with it's friendly HR representative coloring. I did find this to be a bit thick in formula, which does make it quite opaque, I needed just two coats for coverage but I would recommend thinner coats. I did mention this to maker Cassie and she will be tweaking it a bit for release.

Lemming Lacquer Babytown Frolics
Holy Sh*t Snacks!
Bend of light blue, turquoise, pink and purple glitters in a variety of sizes, finishes and shapes
Inspired by the party thrown for Lana in season 5
A baby appropriate (well, not really, please don't give this to your baby) glitter topper. I like the mix of metallic glitter colors which went really well with the peach creme I layered it over. It was a tad thick for me, so I applied one coat with a dabbing technique.

Lemming Lacquer Just Like the Gypsy Woman Said
Two coats
Dark purple jelly with bronze-gold-red shifting flakes and red and copper holographic micro-glitter
Damn. This is a polish that is gorgeous in the bottle AND it's awesomeness translates once it was on my nails (which doesn't always happen). Those flakes and glitter give it a "glows from within" quality. I applied two coats for coverage and in hindsight, a third may have been needed but it will just depend on how thin you apply your coats.

Lemming Lacquer Bloody Mary, Full of Vodka
Two coats
Tomato red holographic with a fiery metallic core
Inspired by Archer's favorite morning drink because if he stopped drinking the cumulative hangover may literally kill him.
This red though, good gosh y'all, it's stunning. Bright as can be! Compared to February 2016, it's a warmer toned red and slightly brighter in color. If you are a red polish lover like I am, you will want and desire this. Easy application in two coats.

Lemming Lacquer Danger Zone!!!
Two coats
Bright orange holographic
AH! Such a glowing rich orange holo! I looooove it. It's like a traffic cone bright sort of orange but in a jeweled shade. With its jelly formula, I thought that I would need to apply a few coats but I was happy to see that I only need two coats for coverage.

Lemming Lacquer Fort Kick*ss
Two coats
Lime green holographic with golden highlight
Dr. Krieger is that doctor you never, EVER want to be a patient of, let alone as a subject of one his experiments. The glow of one of those experiment's, Piggly, translates into this lime green holo. I love the golden shimmer that adds a bit of warmth to the color. Two coats for coverage and easy application.

Lemming Lacquer Phrasing
Two coats
dusty indigo holo
Inspired by H. Jon Benjamin's title card.
This color is all sorts of tasty. Indigo is not a color you see very often as a holo so I was happy to see this shade. It has the same creamy sort of holo formula that is nicely opaque in two coats and medium holo density.
Side note, the long running Phrasing joke is probably one of my favorite things about the show, so many snicker moments come from it.

Lemming Lacquer You're Not My Supervisor!
Two coats
Rich chocolate brown holographic with sparks of blue shimmer
Inspired by: the glue-sniffing, groovy bear popping, pyromaniac secretary and sometimes country singer Carol/Cheryl/Cherlene.
Whaaaa is this magic? Did maker Cassie create a brown I like? YES SHE DID. Which is kind of how you may end up feeling about Carol/Cheryl/Cherlene, she is a whole lot of crazy but you still want to see more. It has a jelly base formula so I applied three thin coats for coverage. Also.....OUTLAW COUNTRY!

  1. I would almost have to love this collection for the inspiration and names, but I love these polishes too! Holy Sh*t Snacks screams Pam to me. As does Fort Kick Ass, love me some Kreiger. But my favorite is Bloody Mary, Full of Vodka.
