The Howling Boutique's Supermoon Lacquer: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Purchased by Me
Hey guys! I have another review for you today. Supermoon Lacquer is a new indie polish brand that came onto the market not too long ago. Mardi, the maker, had actually been creating handmade jewelry in her shop, The Howling Boutique, before she expanded to creating polishes under the name Supermoon Lacquer. I purchased a few of polishes from her debut collection late May and was also provided a couple of polishes later on to review so I am going to bundle everything together in one review.

The first two polishes are new upcoming releases and will either be limited edition or group custom exclusives, available as of tomorrow, July 20th. I will go into my detail below each description. The final three polishes are part of the Ready to Launch Collection and are available right now in Supermoon Lacquer's shop

Supermoon Lacquer It's Taryn Up My Heart
Two coats
Teal green with blue & turquoise shimmer, iridescent rainbow micro-glitters plus scattered holographic finish
This is a limited edition polish for the month of July and part of the "Mentor Project" series that Mardi is beginning. Each polish is inspired by a women who have inspired and supported her and this particular polish is inspired by Taryn of Anchor & Heart Lacquer. It's so nice to read about friendships that inspired goodness and positivity and the color itself is a nice representation of this initial series. It applies well, not too thick and I really like the scattered holo effect.

Supermoon Lacquer Wolf Rayet
Two coats
Dark gray with aqua blue& silver white shimmer, turquoise micro-flakes plus scattered holographic finish
This polish is an exclusive to the THB's Facebook group, The Wolf Pack. You will see it in the shop listings but in order to purchase it you must be a member of the group.
This was a bit thicker in formula, not unmanageable or hard to apply, just something I noticed. Otherwise, it goes on easily and as with the previous polish, the holo effect is more scattered than linear. I am not really a fan of gray polish so this was a not something that appealed to me as much but I do like that it's a more unique group custom.

Supermoon Lacquer Cosmic Dust
Two coats
Red-violet, to magenta, to dark red-orange multi-chrome shimmer
I can't resist this type of color shifting polish, it's like an auto buy type of color. I do wish it was a tad more shifty but it overall a beautiful color. It's somewhat thick but full coverage, needing just two coats.

Supermoon Lacquer Mystic Mountain
Two coats
Green to blue-purple to red multi-chrome
Well this was an unexpected delight! I kind of picked this on a whim but I do really love how it looks on the nail. It does have a more obvious color shift and I love seeing that flash of green against the slate blue. Goes on nicely in two coats.

Supermoon Lacquer Pistol Star
Two coats
Blue to vibrant purple holographic duo-chrome
This one though, it is most definitely my favorite of the three I purchased. A glowing blue is always a good choice and with the added holo, perfection.
