Hey everyone! I have some new polishes from Glisten & Glow today. These five make up the upcoming Fall 2016 Pirate's Booty Collection which releases Friday August 26th at 9 pm EST in Glisten & Glow's shop.
Glisten & Glow Aye Spy Doubloons
Two coats
Gold linear holographic with holo gold glitter
Having a gold polish in a pirate themed collection is an absolute must and this is super duper holo awesomesauce in a bottle. It's thicker in formula than the other polishes in the set but it's the only polish that has those added glitter pieces. Because of those glitter bits, use a peel off base coat for easy removal and a generous layer or two of topcoat to get a smooth shiny finish.

Glisten & Glow Blackbeard's Booty
Two coats
Black linear holographic with gold flakes
Love that puntastic name. The gold flakes give the black base a more antiqued overtone but I did think they were a bit lost on the nail once I had it on. I do like the added detailing though and this is opaque enough with two coats.

Glisten & Glow Parrot's Parlay
Three coats
Coral red linear holographic
A punchy pink shade of red, which is definitely reminiscent of a parrot's red feathers. This was thinner in consistency in formula, so when you apply, I recommend wiping off excess from the brush before applying, otherwise it mail pool in your cuticles. Three coats for opaque coverage and a high density for the holo flame finish.

Glisten & Glow Salty Dog's Sea Legs
Two coats
Deep ocean blue linear holographic with blue shimmer
Blue holos are ones that I can't seem to get tired of but maybe it's because they are so damn BLUE. Formula is about the same as the previous coral red so apply using the same method however this one needed just two coats for opacity.

Glisten & Glow Shimmer Me Timbers
Two coats
Turquoise linear holographic with violet/pink shimmer
The shimmer is more subtle on the nail but it adds an extra special oomph to the polish. This applied great, not too thick or thin.

Glisten & Glow Wench's Wardrobe
Three coats
Dark eggplant purple linear holographic with gold shimmer
Like Shimmer Me Timbers, the shimmer is subtle on the nail but I like the golden cast it gives to the purple shade. Application was easy enough, though this needed a light third coat to cover a couple of patches.
