Paint Box Polish The Knight Bus Collection plus Mama Lion & Pygmy Puff: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hi everyone! I have a new collection from Paint Box Polish to share with you today, as well as two other previously released polishes. The first four are part of the recently released The Knight Bus Collection, inspired by the Knight Bus scene in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (which happens to one of my favorite films of the Harry Potter series). You haven't seen the scene that I am referring to? Here you go!

I am including some notes from Pam of Paint Box Polish in italics under each polish's description to give you guys some insight of her vision for the collection.

The Knight Bus Collection is available now in Paint Box Polish's shop along with mani fizzes and cuticle oils (in fall seasonal scents no less). Each full size polish is priced at an awesome $9 a bottle.

And if you need a little more of a nudge, I have a discount code for you! YAY.

Paint Box Polish What 'Choo Fell Over For?
Two coats
Charcoal creme with white, blue, and purple flecks
Did you see the beautiful, dark, glistening asphalt that Harry planted his buns on when the Knight Bus appears out of nowhere? My goal was to recreate that in this polish.
I can totally see the inspiration with the sparkling flecks of color against the dark gray base. Nice and opaque in two coats.

Paint Box Polish Won't the Muggles See Us?
Two coats
Pale blue creme with gray and violet flakes and white and blue fleck shimmer
This film is saturated with varying shades of blue and grey. This polish is a nod to that.
This is the only that was a bit on the thick side. Which means just two coats for coverage but also, that you should wait few minutes between coats. I love the contrast between the flakes and the light blue.

Paint Box Polish The Knight Bus
Two coats
Blue toned violet creme
A buttery, blue-leaning purple that is a nod to the emergency transport vehicle itself!
Such a creamy looking creme. I usually photograph my polishes with a layer of topcoat but I wanted to show off how shiny this is, so my photos below show two coats and no topcoat.

Paint Box Polish The Leaky Cauldron
Two coats
Pumpkin orange linear holographic
One of the few places in this film with a warm feel is The Leaky Cauldron. It’s polish is a dusty, warm, dirty orange with linear holo and fiery, copper flecks. Kinda like the tavern itself.
Orange holo? Yes please! It's a jelly based holo so the holo flame is a low to medium density one.

Paint Box Polish Mama Lion
Two coats
Bronze with gold and orange micro-shimmer
Originally part of the The Women of Harry Potter Collection, this is inspired by Molly Weasley
I like the warmth of the coloring and how we can see that the inspiration of Molly translate to the polish.

Paint Box Polish Pygmy Puff
Two coats
Coral creme with gold flakes and dries to a matte finish.
Originally part of the Sweets & Treats collection
Nice application, needing just two coats, which honestly is how all the polishes shown in this post applied like. Dry time for the matte finish is very quick and if you prefer to have a shiny finish, apply your favorite topcoat. I think I prefer it matte but I have it shown both ways.
