Color4Nails Presents Contrary Polish Orpheus and Eurydice Duo Exclusives: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey everyone! I have a two new polishes from Contrary Polish for today. Contrary Polish will soon be stocked in Color4Nails's shop and included in that launch this weekend is this exclusive duo, which is inspired by and named after Orpheus and Eurydice from Greek mythology. The two polishes will be a limited edition set and sold as a duo set. Here is a little blurb from the brand:

Contrary Polish Orpheus and Eurydice Duo to be released this weekend February 13th - 14th, specific release information will be updated closer to the release, look to Color4Nails' Facebook page for that.

Contrary Polish Orpheus
Two coats
Dark charcoal gray jelly base with gold and holographic shimmer
Moody and mysterious, which is a good interpretation of the inspiration. I see flashes of purple in the artificial lighting shots as well. Application was easy, two coats for coverage worked well. You may need a third depending on thin your coats are.

Contrary Polish Eurydice
Two coats
Cherry red jelly base with pink and holographic shimmer
Such a contrast to Orpheus and ties in the with romantic theme as well. I love that pink shimmer, it gives the red a glowing quality. This was is opaque in color as well so I applied just two coats and a bit of my nail line was visible in the direct sun shots but not super obvious.

  1. As always, your swatches are killer. I was only thinking of getting Orpheus, but now I'll need Eurydice, too!
