Girly Bits Cosmetics August 2016 COTM Duo plus What Happens in Vegas Ends up on Twitter & What Really Happened in Vegas 2016 Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey all! I have ton of new polishes from Girly Bits Cosmetics for this month to share and because my work schedule is crazy this week instead of breaking them down into separate posts, I am going to showcase them all in one glorious photo heavy post! YAY!

Because the sets have a couple of different release dates and info, I am including that information just prior to the polish descriptions but remember, if you want to get your Girly Bits Cosmetics fix, then head on over to the Girly Bits Cosmetics' shop.

August COTM Duo:

Available as a pre-order as of now until tomorrow, August 10th and a smaller restock will be on 24th of August until supplies last or the end of the month

Girly Bits Dancing in the Moonlight
Two coats
Cobalt blue holographic green and pink shimmer
August COTM
Oh. My. Lawd. This polish though. A rich and saturated blue (always and forever wonderful) and with a lower density holographic flame. Very easy to apply, with barely two coats needed for coverage.

Girly Bits Sun Dog
Two coats
Copper holographic with bronze micro-flakes and copper shimmer
August COTM
You know I love metallic colors and copper especially is a weakness for me so of course I love this one. It was thicker then I expected but it is a very shimmer heavy holo. My recommendation is to use light coats when you apply.

Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas Ends up on Twitter
Two coats
Dusty denim blue holographic with flashes of pink and aqua holographic glitter
This is the fourth polish in the What Happens in Vegas series and it's my favorite one yet.
I love how shifty it looks and the pop of aqua glitter is like, HELLO. Smooth application with two coats and a generous layer or two of topcoat to give you a glassy finish.

What Happens in Vegas Ends Up on Twitter is a single pour release limited edition polish and will be released on August 15th for $16.50 CAD ($12.50 USD) until August 22nd.

What Really Happened in Vegas (2016) Collection:

Okay formula notes, this was a very glitter heavy collection. Which is perfect for a Vegas inspired set. You get all the sparkle and oooh, ahhhh factor and let's face it, the not so easy glitter pieces themselves that you end up finding a full week later in the strangest place. (like maybe some weird or crazy photos lurking on your phone after a trip to Vegas. NO COMMENT). I posted inspiration notes that Pam included in her press release, which explain where the names come from.

Anyway....formula wise they are great. Easy to work with and to apply and I ended up needing no more than two coats for each of the polishes below, with the exception of one. Removal is something to consider with full cover glitter polishes so break out your go-to peel off or glue base coat or just use the good old acetone soak and removal method.

The What Really Happened in Vegas (2016) Collection will be released on August 15th and each polish will be $16.50 CAD ($12.50 USD) and if you purchase the full collection before August 29th, save $5 off.

Girly Bits Anniversary Crashers
Two coats
Clear base with pale yellow gold, navy, and holographic gold micro-glitter plus gold micro-flakes
Inspiration notes:
Good friends of ours were in Vegas at the same time as CPNA celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. As fate would have it, we were all free on the actual evening of their anniversary and reveled in the once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to be with them on both their wedding day and their wedding anniversary 30 years later.

Girly Bits How to Find a Naked Man (in Vegas)
Three coats
Denim blue crelly with an iridescent micro-glitter plus bronze and violet shimmer
This polish was my personal favorite of the collection!
Inspiration notes:
Scantily clothed people are not hard to spot in Vegas. Naked ones, you just have to know where to look (or NOT to look!) A certain lady who shall remain un-named, went on a mission to rescue a table decoration that had been left in the room on the way to Cocktails & Colours. It was not her own room, but she was given the key to the room, and the room number. Run up and grab it. Easy peasy right? Somehow, she ended up in the wrong hallway, at the wrong room, with the wrong key. And the naked man inside had not latched the door properly. You can imagine the looks on faces when she swiped the key card, and pushed open the (unlatched) door!!

Girly Bits Showgirl Plucker
Two coats
Peacock turquoise jelly with holographic micro-flakes and purple and blue micro-glitter
Inspiration notes:
I had the pleasure of meeting Jacinta from Powder Perfect while in Vegas this year, who also happens to be my Hella Holo Customs partner for August. She traveled with her beautiful family all the way from Australia to be there! One evening while taking in the sights on the strip, her three year old was smitten with a showgirl and plucked a feather right off of her. How darn cute is that?!?! Jacinta noted that luckily, he was so taken with the Showgirls that he didn't notice the man behind there wearing nothing by a sock!!

Girly Bits I do what I WANT!
Two coats
Amethyst purple jelly with silver micro-flakes and holographic micro-glitter
Inspiration notes:
We enjoyed multiple celebrations this year in Vegas! Sheila from Pointless Cafe turned 50 while we were there. We even secretly planned a little surprise get together for her (her first real birthday party ever, if you can imagine!!) If you know Sheila at all, you know she is the least rebellious person ever. She shared a room with Michelle from Ehmkay Nails, who being a Jersey girl uses the saying "I do what I WANT!" in jest, which Sheila adopted as her attempt to become rebellious for the weekend. Good try Sheila! (HA!)

Girly Bits Personal Hotspot
Two coats
Raspberry jelly with magenta and fuchsia metallic and holographic micro-glitter
Inspiration notes:
Ahh the joys of TSA. Travelling to Vegas every year with loads of product and display items inevitably produces some hiccups getting through security. This year however, a certain blogger who was travelling with OUT the usual concerning items set off the personal scanner twice! We all know she is one hot mama, and concluded that the TSA officers also appreciated her beauty and just wanted a closer look at her since he was pulled aside for manual frisking of two rather personal areas.
