Pahlish May 2016 Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! I am happy today is Friday and that I received my Pahlish press package for this month's collection. Let's see what this month brings:

This month Shannon drew inspiration from Professor Layton, a video game series. The premise of this series is that Layton is a professor and gentleman who travels the world solving puzzles and wearing a top hat. So pretty much awesome. The colors have a vintage color quality and are shimmer polishes this month, yay! No monthly duo though this month.

Also, this month introduces the new Pahlish bottles, which have a printed blush Pahlish label. I am so obsessed with blush shades lately (my new bedding is all about blush) so I looooove how these labels look. Here is a pic of a couple of the bottles from this collection:

Regarding formula: I will go ahead and post this up top, as the polishes performed about the same. They are all cremes with a healthy amount of shimmer added. They were a bit watery in consistency, if that makes sense, but were opaque enough that I got full coverage in two coats. If you apply thinner coats, you may find needing a third coat for coverage, so it just depends on your application style. They all are shown with topcoat, plus I used matte topcoat in my fourth photo for each polish. Matte makes all the things just better, but especially shimmer polishes.

Look for the May 2016 Collection to be launched this Sunday May 8th at 7 pm CST in Pahlish's shop

Pahlish Descole
Two coats
Rosy blush creme with red and copper shimmer
That shimmer is like a punch of awesome infusion in the rose toned base.

Hello lover. I want to wear this all the time.

Pahlish Golden Apple
Two coats
Sun-kissed peach creme with coppery red shimmer
I was SO EXCITED to see this color. I love the light orange/peach/cantaloupe type of polishes but they never are opaque enough. This one was like the others, done in two coats.

Pahlish Monte d'Or
Two coats
Greige creme with red and copper shimmer
Would it be a true Pahlish collection without a greige polish? The red/copper shimmer is so lovely in the base.

Pahlish St. Mystere
Two coats
Grey-blue creme with turquoise and gold shimmer
I don't usually like this sort of grey-blue but the shimmer adds depth and overall yum to the polish.

Pahlish Unwound Future
Two coats
Turquoise creme with coppery red shimmer
This may be my favorite of the set. I have yet to meet a turquoise mint-toned green with gold that I didn't like and this one is fantastic.
