Vapid Lacquer Fall 2016 Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hello! I don't know about you guys but I am SO EXCITED that the fall season has now officially started. Though it doesn't quite feel like fall here in Texas with 90+ degree days, but I will take what I can get, including all these awesome fall collections that are releasing. I have a new one from Vapid Lacquer for today and it is just what I love about fall collections. Gorgeous and richly colored polishes, with application being really great for each one.

The Fall 2016 Collection will be released on Sunday, September 25th at 1 pm CST in Vapid Lacquer's shop. Full size 16 ml bottles (that are now screen printed!) will be $10 each, plus 9 ml small/medium sized bottles that will be $7 each.

Vapid Lacquer Ablaze
Two coats
Orange linear holographic with red spark shimmer
Ugh, yes please to all the oranges but most especially right now. Fiery! That's the adjective I would use to describe this color. It has a jelly formula consistency but is opaque enough in two coats.

Vapid Lacquer Distressed
Two coats
Dusky denim blue with copper shimmer and holographic flakes
I have no doubt that this one of the most popular shades from the set. It has a slight green tint with the heavy shimmer and some sparkle from the flakes. Goes on smoothly with two coats.

Vapid Lacquer Fire Starter
Two coats
Red shimmer with orange flash
Ahh! This color! So glowy! I can't even stand it. By far my favorite of the set. With its heavy shimmer formula, you will see some visible brushstrokes but it's not what I would consider a frosty polish.

Vapid Lacquer Moon Moth
Two coats
Sage green creme with subtle pink shimmer
I do wish the shimmer was a bit more prominent, you can see flashes of it in the bottle but they are subtle on the nail. Still, quite a lovely opaque green creme, something that would compliment a number of skin tones.

Vapid Lacquer Psilocybin
Two coats
Dark chocolate brown linear holographic with color-shifting purple/blue shimmer
Another beautifully done brown polish to add to the others released this season. This one does have a more visible shimmer, adding some extra oomph to the polish.

Vapid Lacquer Spider and the Fly
Two coats
Evergreen linear holographic with gold shimmer
I rarely wear green shades lately but I will be making an exception with this stunner. It's so deeply green and with the flashes of gold, mmmm. Two opaque coats again for coverage.

Vapid Lacquer Weaponized Guilt
Two coats
Dark burnished gold shimmer in a black base.
This is another favorite for me, it's just so unequivocally "Fall" to me. It has some flashes of green, giving it an olive vibe. Some visible brush strokes again here due to it's heavy shimmer formula.
