Darling Diva Polish Hug My Face Collection: Swatches and Review

Provided for Review
Hey guys! I meant to post this collection yesterday but time got away from me (thank you holiday weekend!) These nine polishes polishes make up Darling Diva Polish's newest collection, the Hug My Face Collection. This collection is inspired by the Alien film series. So expect some bad-ass polishes to fit the equally bad-ass Ellen Ripley (played by Sigourney Weaver) and her battles with alien creatures.

Luck is upon is, as the labor day sale code that Darling Diva Polish had for promotion has been extended for one more day. Use the code Labor30 for 30% OFF your order, which is good until tonight (September 9th) midnight CST.

The Hug My Face Collection is available now in Darling Diva Polish's shop, don't forget your code!

Darling Diva Polish A-ffirmative
Two coats
Light periwinkle blue linear holographic with pink shimmer
Gorgeous shade of blue! It has a low to medium density holo flame. Perfect application.

Darling Diva Polish Bad Ass
Two coats
Black scattered holographic
An amazing sooty black color, as black as a...alien. It has a more subtle scattered holo to it which I think gives it more of a unique detailing. Two coats for full coverage.

Darling Diva Polish Did IQs Just Drop Sharply While I Was Away?
Two coats
Black jelly base with red shimmer and violet iridescent flakes
This is on the thin side, I got coverage with two coats but I likely should have done a third to avoid patchiness. The red shimmer gives the black base a brown tint to it.

Darling Diva Polish Game Over, Man!
Two coats
Fire engine red jelly with holo shards and iridsecent flake shimmer
WOW OH WOW. Like I needed another red polish but somehow, when it looks this damn good, how can I resist? The holo shards are wonderful. And full coverage in those two coats.

Darling Diva Polish Have You Ever Been Mistaken For A Man?
Two coats
Deep red toned purple linear holographic
Goodness, this practically glows under direct light. It's a rich and beautiful shade of purple. I am going to echo what I said about the previous polish, did I need another purple holo? Yes, yes I did. Especially one that applies so smoothly.

Darling Diva Polish In Space No One Can Hear You Scream
Three coats
Black jelly base with holographic shards and iridescent shimmer
Oh yeah, as dark and mysterious as the great wide space frontier. I love how dark that black base is! It does need a double layer of top coat, to give you a smooth finish.

Darling Diva Polish Long Live The Queen!
Two coats
Dark teal green linear holographic with ultra-chrome flakes
I love the unique twist that of those chrome flakes in such a deep color. It gives the teal green a lot of depth.

Darling Diva Polish Mother
Three coats
Pale gray linear holographic
A lighter color is a nice contrast to the other darker colors in this collection. It's a very pale gray, which I personally love. It also has a lower density holo flame, which is what I was expecting considering it's lighter color.

Darling Diva Polish Xenomorph
Three coats
Blackened green jelly base with blue/green flakes, iridescent and color shifting micro-glitter
Such a complex polish. It's a little on the thick side but I had full coverage with three thin coats. My only major critique is that those color-shifting glitter are more visible in the bottle but are less apparent in the polish once it's on the nail. Still, I love the flashes of those glitter in that luscious blackened green base.
